Blaise watched the house elf carry the feline out the doors into the back side of the Estate with a raised eyebrow. Not that he cared in the slightest of the condition the animal was in, but one of the main reasons that he ventured over that afternoon was to claim it as his own. The other reason was to spend a bit of time with Daphne. It honestly bothered him that she took interest in another man. Throughout the years, it seemed or felt as though she was much more than close to him, despite the fact that he took his time through it all. In the end, she belonged to him. Hopefully, she knew that. Anyone else who dreams of taming the middle Greengrass sibling would be struck down by any means necessary. "If we have no intention of plucking the life out of it, then I hope that you did not place it on it's deathbed. I do not have a use for a fading feline," he responded shortly after her one word sentences.
Catching the tiny smile that adorned her lips, Blaise couldn't help but return a small one of his own. At times, he ceased to understand the way that Daphne made him feel. Never had another woman capture his attention for so long, which had been years between the two. She was perfect in every single way, swearing that she would be in his arms comfortably soon. "Of course, lead the way," he stated simply and followed closely behind her. It took everything with him to not slip his arms around her waist and pull her close, especially since he was still in the moment a few minutes prior because of her behavior. "I suppose it's a bit of a stretch to say that your day had turned wonderful the moment that I entered your estate?" he asked, but within him he already knew that his statement was true. Even through everything, including thoughts that there was a chance that she decided that he wasn't worth her time anymore. That he hoped wasn't true, even the slightest, especially since he cared greatly for her.
Not realizing that Daphne had been catching on to his mood of late, Blaise figured that he appeared the same way that he had always been on a daily basis. It took something rather large to set him off balance of his normal routine. "You are radiant every single day, love. Forgive me if you thought that I meant otherwise. Not a moment goes by that I do not see you as beautiful," he answered back and licked his bottom lip, enjoying each of the glances that she was generous enough to give him. It did help the situation that Blaise knew how to speak to women and make them feel special at every given moment of the day. Some he truly meant the words, others not in the slightest. Of course, everything that he chose to reply towards the one before him had all indeed be nothing but the truth.
Just as he had been instructed to, Blaise had made himself comfortable in an armchair across from Daphne. "I've been mostly keeping busy since we've last seen each other around Christmas," he started to explain, noticing that the decorations had all been removed for the new year in the Greengrass home. "Spent a bit of time with Pansy and plenty of others. Mother has seemed to capture another suitor as well. Nothing out of the ordinary."
