Who: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
What: Talking, fighting and flying journals.
Where: Their flat.
When: Late Sunday night.
Rating: Your guess is as good as mine.
Hermione had successfully ignored Ron since the previous evening, despite his efforts in attempting to get her to talk to him. Eventually she had threatened to leave if he didn't just give her some time to herself, and thankfully that seemed to do it. She needed to think, not talk. As far as she was concerned they had done plenty of talking already, which was how they ended up in the situation they were in now, anyway.
Sleeping in late, she had occupied herself for the rest of the day by working on her homework now that term was starting again. Early evening she had heard Harry come in, but left him and Ron to their own devices. Apparently they were going to be making plans and who was she to interfere? Whatever she had been discussing with Ron about the search for Death Eaters had fallen by the wayside when he kept bringing Lia into it every five minutes.
That had bothered her. A lot. If only because he seemed so intent on how wonderful Lia was and how she knew what he needed and after only one lunchtime he was convinced she should be part of everything. Then he had the audacity to tell her that she was prejudiced just because she didn't believe a bunch of cards with pictures on them could predict the next Death Eater attack.
Looking through her journal once more before bed later in the evening, Hermione read again that Harry and Ginny had broken up. This time it conjured the thought that it was probably Lia's doing, too. Despite the fact that she had told Ginny to talk to Harry more than once before she had gone and had a tarot reading, apparently her advice didn't count for anything. Not sure what to say and not in the mood to be particularly sympathetic, Hermione decided not to say anything for the moment and perhaps owl Ginny later.
Turning the pages, she had to look twice when she saw an entry from Lia and upon reading it, wished she hadn't looked at all.
The nerve of that woman. What was she trying to prove, constantly sticking her nose into everyone else's business? And where had she gotten all that information from anyway? Though she had denied it when Hermione wrote back to her, the only reasonable explanation was that somehow Lia had been able to read the private entry in her journal.
The other explanation was that Ron must have said something to her. That stupid git. Ignoring the fact that he couldn't possibly have told Lia what was going through his girlfriend's mind when he didn't even know himself, Hermione snapped her journal shut and stormed into the living room, throwing it at him as he sat on the couch. She hadn't aimed particularly well but managed to have it hit him squarely in the chest all the same.
"What did you say?!"
