Theodore arrived with Daphne, not entirely impressed with the decorations, and certainly not interested in the ball itself. He was, however, interested in Daphne. Despite her glares or scowls, he remained unperturbed by her anger.
If anything, he seemed to be enjoying it. Each angry look caused the slightest twitch at the corners of his mouth, and as they made their way across the atrium, he spared no second thoughts to the fact that she seemed content to speak to others, but not him.
He, on the other hand, took the opportunity to lean in close, speaking quietly so that only she could hear him. "What did I tell you? There's not one woman here who could hold a candle to you."
