Kevin laughed at Lisa's seriousness over things that couldn't be unseen. "Unfortunately, that's very true. I suppose I should just be relieved that they never anything too bad in a common area. We have bedrooms and locks for a reason."
Finishing the last of his noodles, Kevin waved his hand for the check. "It was the exact opposite for me. At home it's just like normal, but when I headed to work it was a black out. They sent most of us home. It was nice to have the day off, but I haven't worked there long enough to get paid time for that sort of thing."
When the check arrived, Kevin handed the waitress enough bills to cover it. "No need to rush," he apologized to Lisa. "I just figure we can head straight out when you're done." He took a sip to finish his drink. "Where do you want to head to first?"
