It has taken me several hours to crank through my words this morning. Kept having to find a place to hide, and then weathered lots of interruptions. When it's quiet, I crank along, but when Chick is coming in every five minutes to ask questions, I stutter step. The laundry interrupts as well, but I've gotten all three loads of gentles done and onto the line, now, so YAY.
14343 / 50000 words. 29% done!
I'm trying for 2500 words a day, which is overkill. But that means if I underwrite for whatever reason, I'll be okay. Also, with Thanksgiving and Boo's birthday also this month, plus knitting and basketball and things like that... well, yeah. I need give myself a cushion.
Today I found out more about who Rosemary is, and brought her on screen to give Cian someone to deal with. Cian? Needs some social skills, desperately. He has managed to piss Rosemary off completely, and I can't blame her at all. Also, did a bit of work with Doyle, and sketched out where Trea is. Need to write some with Trea, but she also seems to be living up to her role of "pawn" and "lost princess" and may well not be on screen for much of the first half of the novel. I think rescuing her will be where the pivotal scenes for the halfway mark start happening.
Um, that halfway mark is around the 50k mark. Obviously I need to keep writing when the month is done.
And for fun, a tidbit of Cian and Rosemary. For the record? This is not a paranormal romance. Rosemary is not going to fall head over heels for Cian after he manhandles her because he is OMG the alpha male she cannot live without. She's going to try to beat the shite out of him eventually, and he's just all EW at the idea of her in general.

SORORITY
My char is the President and one of the most beautiful and popular girls on campus. Yours is some sort of a new pledge to the sorority. They only recruit the most beautiful, fun, and academically acceptable young women. These young women go on to marry rich men, have modeling careers in places like Maxim, or follow their major career path. How far will your char go to to get in? This is a femme/het mix. My char is a the dominant female and males. Yours would be the pledge and any other girls needed to fill in. This is done by AIM and my sn is AmandaXChiznit.

Look, it's more Logan Marshall-Green! I swore i was done, but in doing the last two episodes of Dark Blue that I had to do, Mr. Muppet Face had some more lovely expressions that i just couldn't resist. So small set here, but I had to do it.

Nicki Aycox from Dark Blue, FINALLY. I've been working on finishing out a decent set of her for ages, but I needed to get a few specific episodes done to get it complete. Standard Dark Blue disclaimers of course (there are some odd ones, from before I got the colorations better figured out, too). She was around 23-24 when these episodes were filmed.

I hate iconning Dark Blue, and yet, I continue to do it. Please excuse some really strange colouration, but I've done my best to fix where I can. Omari Hardwick doesn't have a lot of facial expressions, but everyone once in a while he hits paydirt. He was 25ish when these episodes were filmed.

The days are busy. They are running by and by, and I have little time to write with continuity. My days are long, but I don't remember everything I see. It is quiet and loud at the same time in this apartment. Isolating is beautiful, but it is solem. I do not miss the cameras or the lights, but to leave majority into obscurity is an adjustment. The lady I learn English from is nicer each day. We took a walk on the NYC campus, and I we pointed at objects and swapped languages. A squirrel, a リス, foliage,群葉....
I love the language of the streets. So many. I am in with love with the music of the streets. This dancing. This 'r & b'. I go to a club, with tight skinny jeans and a cropped leather jacket. So many men. So many choices. I grind and dance with no trepidation. There is freedom. I know not what to do. Beautiful.
Lena comes over days past. My friend Ayami joins us. We laugh and joke. It is nice. They laugh and laugh when they found out I played "Sailor Mars" in the live action version in Japan. It was very cheesy, when I grabbed out the old DVD's. We watch the season. I laugh so hard. I believe Americans call "selling out" to be this. I enjoyed my time. As complaints as one makes, I will never look down at the notion of being an "idol". I hope my fans will remember this.
We go out and dance. We wake up with a headache. We drink tea, and make lunch. We were silly, and we turned up the music as loud as one can. We play our favourite songs. The below is a treat for fans. Ayami films me singing washing the dishes. Lena dances in the background. This is me at home. This is the true me.
Friendship is precious.

Took yesterday off from NaNo because of traveling to go see TAI... with eternaleponine. So I had been spending some time trying to get ahead during the week (considering I took Wednesday off as well, that was a trick and a half!). I went straight from CT to a write-in at Brueggers without going home.
The write-in was a new experience for me. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours, and I was social for part of it. I ended up having to put my headphones in so I could actually crank out wordcount. Everyone was talking a lot, which was good and nice to talk to other people who were doing the same crazy thing, but I just had a lot of trouble focusing. And I really needed to make wordcount while I was there since once I came home I knew it wasn't happening.
Anyway, I ended up making over 2600 words today, which got me to just barely over target for the day. So yay!
11813 / 50000 words. 24% done!
My snippet for the day isn't a story quote at all, but the note I had to leave for myself when I mentally bailed on writing a fight:
[Insert battle here later when you can think. Cat jumps in, takes off one of the critters and shakes it up, ripping it apart. Jack shoots the other one. Shayne ends up injured with a long scratch down her shoulder]
