As Clint Barton walked up to the gates of the Avengers Mansion, he felt a chill at the base of his spine. It had nothing to do with the people with cameras that had gathered at the gate, trying to get a peek of anyone that they could. He was never comfortable with being an idol in the way that Cap was. But his uneasiness came from the face that, his was the first time that he'd seen this place looking as it did in its glory days. He thought it'd be no big deal to be at the mansion like this, he had been to the ruins when he returned from hell. But it was a very big deal. ( This was the place that he and others were killed by the Masters. )

The riot was a mess. Both sides were taking lots of damage, but no headway was being made on either faction. Captain America tried his best to keep this situation under control with help from Black Widow and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Avengers were getting increasingly scattered, ruining their effectiveness as a group.

Anyone that thought Clint Barton wasn't going to take this personally was a damn fool. Clint was always one of those people who made it obvious when they were angry. Unlike most times though, Clint had a very good reason this time. About a dozen of those people that were escaping the Raft had been at the Avengers Mansion over a year ago when the Masters of Evil decided that it was time to tear the heart out of the Avengers and end them for good.
