Sony Motion Sensor
In order to provide gamers with a "gaming experience closer to real life than anything we've seen," Sony has unveiled a motion-sensing control system for the PlayStation 3. The thing combines the PlayStation EyeToy camera with a controller and allows one-to-one tracking as well as allowing scanning of objects in a game. Seems to me like a cross between Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus and Microsoft's webcam motion controller.
Sony showed off a number of tech demos, including a sword-fighting game, tennis, a painting game, archery, a real-time strategy title and a first-person shooter. The system will be available in Spring 2010.
Wait, I thought the PS3 already had motion-sensing controllers...
