dramatically lightening dark-dyed hair
i've decided to get the ball rolling here! unfortunately i lost a lot of my pictures, so i can't post any right now, but i intend to make a hair timeline and i encourage you all to do so! give the other members some ideas for themselves, and get yourself some tips for your next hairstyle.
here is my question--
i dyed my hair dark, dark brown and a fire engine red strip, but the dark brown has now mostly faded to a lighter shade of brown. i want to get rid of it totally and go light blonde. when doing this, i usually use colorfix (to remove the permanent hair color), bleach, and dye blonde. i usually have to repeat the extra damaging steps more than once (bleaching and/or colorfix) to get the lightening results i really want. colorfix is great, but it smells like shit and it fries my hair.
i expect my hair to get really owned, so i'll be getting a significantly shorter haircut to chop off all the hay. i was thinking holly's hairstyle from make me a supermodel (before they gave her the pixie)
i was just wondering how you lighten or remove dark hair dye from your hair? what kind of bleach do you use?
