Who: Tempest and Open Where: Downtown Chicago When: After sunset What: Wandering around Open?: Yes Rating: TBD
Tempest had left his apartment 20 minutes ago and was riding the subway into the heart of downtown. He didn't have any location in mind, he just wanted to be out among people. As the subway car rolled to a stop and doors opened, he moved with the crowds of people getting off brushing past the people getting on. It was rush hour and Tempest observed everyone rushing off to get home or get to work, if they worked the night shift, with an aloof composure. The goings on of the world intrigued him. That's why he loved just wandering the city, it seemed that even in the vast span of his existence there was always something to catch his attention.
He watched a homeless man beg for change along the side wall of the subway exit. He watched two lovers exchange a kiss goodbye as they went there separate ways. He saw a young man wearing headphones and carrying one of those portable music players lounge on one the benches. As he walked up the tiled steps from the subway tunnel and into the city the cold wind hit him. It wasn't such a bother though. He wasn't completely immune to the chill in the air but he didn't shiver or hug himself tightly against it like the humans around him were. He started walking down the busy street following the flow of the human traffic. Clad in a hooded sweatshirt, his pea coat, and a pair of jeans with a t-shirt under the sweat-shirt he weaved in and out of the moving crowd, his boot clad feet scuffling along the concrete as he walked.
Tempest had been in Chicago for a while now. The Creator had sent him to protect a human however said human had not yet been revealed to him. He trusted in the Creator's plan but had to wonder why he was sent without knowing who and where his charge would be. Since his arrival he had not had any interaction with other angels, or demons, UGH!, or even worse vampires. Rumors were all over the city of unexplained disappearances, as well as unsolved murders. Evil was threatening to over take this city, so he was grateful to be sent as a force to circumvent the darkness plaguing these humans. He stopped briefly at coffee shop to get a cup of house blend. Tempest liked the warmth of the coffee in his hand, though truth be told he didn't need to drink it, or much of anything else, save for water once and while to keep up his strength in his human form. He found a alcove along the side of one of the buildings and leaned back against the glass windows sipping his coffee and watching the people move by.
