The best days for Lauren were the ones when she didn't have to work. She loved being a actress, but waking up at 5am some days wasn¡t something she looked forward to (how was she supposed to get her beauty sleep that way?! No one told her actresses got up so early!). So she tried and get as much sleep as possible the days she didn't have anything to do. And also spend as much time as possible with her boyfriend.

She had always thought she would date some famous actor or model, not someone from Forks of all places. But Lee was different from the guys from Forks. For starters, he was living in LA and not in Forks anymore, and he didn't seem like he wanted to go back (and that was great, because she wasn't coming back to that place except for Thanksgiving and Christmas). She knew he loved her for her, not because she was famous or anything. He was the sweetest, most adorable and nicest guy she had ever known, and that's why she knew she was very lucky to have him in her life.

She was lying on the couch, head resting on Lee's leg as they watched the tv and Duchess, her little Maltese, lying on her stomach. She petter her absently as she looked at the screen, glancing up at Lee for a moment and smile at him before going back to the movie.

Work really was the perfect thing to ruin a good day. It wasn't that Lee hated his job. Actually, he rather liked his work during the day as a computer technician as well as his other small job as a DJ on local radio. L.A. was full of people that had computers and weren't exactly savvy in their use. And of course people who needed heir music. Lee didn't mind helping them out in either case. Lauren did have it a bit worse off than him, though. At least looking at hours. She had to get up at 5 in the morning some days. He was more than happy to give her her time to rest on the days on which she wasn't working. But he also wanted to spend as much time with her as he could. Can you really blame him?

Lee often found himself wondering just how he'd gotten Lauren Mallory in the first place. She was gorgeous, popular and talented. In school, he'd always thought that some actor or model would sweep her off her feet. But she'd chosen him. Not some L.A. dream guy. What had he ever done to be so lucky? He didn't at all mind living in LA. It had been where his dad had grown up and actually being there for himself had him wanting to stay in the sun rather than return to rainy Forks for more than the occasional visit. But of course living there with Lauren made all of it better. He loved her and cared about her for who she was. Not because she was famous. That was what really mattered. And he had absolutely no problem with reminding her of his love whenever he could.

Right then they were both lounging on the couch, just watching tv. Lauren's head was resting on his leg and Duchess was lying on Lauren's stomach. His fingers ran through her hair gently and he smiled down at her. Oh yeah, he was a lucky guy.

Lee running his fingers through her hair was making her kind of sleepy. She shifted a little, getting more comfortable, and closed her eyes, breathing deeply. But all of a sudden, Duchess raised her head and barked, jumping off her stomach and running off somewhere. Lauren groaned, the sleepiness she could've been feeling all gone now.

She moved to a sitting position next to Lee, resting her head on his shoulder. "Hi." She whispered, nuzzling his neck before pressing a kiss below his ear.

He continued running his fingers through her soft blonde hair, hoping that it was helping her relax. With all the work she did now after becoming so popular in the acting world, she needed the well-deserved rest and relaxation. He simply watched her as she closed her eyes, looking almost as if she was going to drift off to sleep. But then out of nowhere Duchess barked at nothing in particular, hopping down off of Lauren's stomach and running off. Lee frowned a bit at the interruption, watching the dog scamper off.

But when Lauren sat up next to him with her head resting on his shoulder, he couldn't help but smile softly. "Hey," he replied softly before leaning down to catch her lips with his. "How are you, beautiful?" He pressed another soft kiss to her lips before pressing another to her neck.

Lauren smiled against the kiss, loving when he called her beautiful. She was called beautiful pretty much everywhere, the tv, magazines, the internet... But there was something special when he said it, it really did make her feel beautiful. Like the most beautiful girl on the planet -- not that she wasn't already, though.

"Very good." She said against his lips, closing her eyes and sighing softly when he kissed her neck. She shifted on the couch and straddled his hips, grinning at him and leaning in to kiss him sweetly on the lips. "How are you, handsome?"

Lee loved calling Lauren beautiful because it was the honest to God truth. She was absolutely gorgeous and he was more than lucky to have her, one very popular actress, as his girlfriend. If only he'd known that things would end up that way back when he and Lauren were going through school together. He would always compliment her every day and wouldn't ever stop. Because to him she was the most beautiful girl on the planet...or rather, most beautiful girl in the universe. There was absolutely no reason for her to feel any other way.

"That's good to hear." He smiled slightly against her skin when he kissed her neck, hearing that soft contented sigh that let him know he was making her feel good. Naturally he didn't protest when she moved and straddled his hips. He kissed her back, still finding that just one kiss with her was never enough. "I'm just fine. Glad that we have some time to spend together. Glad that I don't have to share my gorgeous girlfriend with anyone else, at least for now."

His hands settled on her hips, holding her and keeping her close to him. Though it wasn't as if he ever wanted her to move farther away.
