( Even as she started crying out for her father, she knew it was no use. Her step-mother would never call him when this happened, not believing her as they were always gone by the time she came down the hallway to see what was happening. )

Happy birthday to the kindest, most loving and hilarious man that I have ever met. I don't know how I got so lucky to have been saddled with you as my partner in class way back when we first started school, but I count myself lucky each and every day. I love you and can't wait to celebrate our 21sts together.

Sorry for the sap, people of Dunhaven -- but it had to be done. I'll finish it off with proof of handsome from last night's "it's officially your birthday" cupcake at midnight.

I go off to Greece for two months and come back to our little town being more technologically advanced than I thought possible. Does that mean we're getting Google Fiber? Because I think it should mean we're getting Google Fiber. (I have a feeling it doesn't mean we're getting Google Fiber.)

I'm officially back from Greece, though! Obviously. Technically I've been back since Wednesday night, but I slept pretty much all of Thursday and woke up this morning quite disoriented. As much fun as I had, I am so glad to be home and have a few weeks to relax before school starts. For as much as I'm looking forward to the final year and eventual graduation, I'm not about to rush it. Besides, I'll just be doing grad school after, so it's not like I'll really be done anyway.

This is Beth Chastain, by the way. In case you don't know me already and was curious about who was babbling away on here.

Senior year, officially, in 24 days. Which means I have approximately 20 days left to figure out how to end the summer with a bang. Suggestions? Thoughts? Unnecessary criticism that I won't bother to listen to from people who don't know how to have fun? May or may not include OF AGE ONLY drinking (because I will be 21 before then).
