Stella and I talked and we've decided that we're going to do a full blown wedding, instead of the courthouse idea that we'd been leaning towards. We're looking at July 11, if everything works out with venues. Will you guys stand up there with me? I'm going to talk to Ed about it, too.

Hello, five day weekend. I've been anticipating your arrival.

In celebration of the start of my weekend and the holiday season being in full swing, I decided to try to do an activity of sorts. I'm very good at activities. It's why they let me be a guidance counselor. I'm kidding, mostly. But, I saw this and, please forgive the spelling error, but I thought it would be a nice one to pump up some positive vibes before I eat an entire turkey and all the mashed potatoes.



As for me, I would have been 22 and living in Ithaca, basically funding my Psychology degree with a football scholarship. I hated playing football (yes, I know that I coach it now at the high school, but that's different and I love it because of the kids) despite being good at it, but I sort of figured that the talent meant that I had to play it forever. The fact that I'm not playing it now would make 22-year-old me pretty happy, though maybe less happy about the injury, surgeries, and ability to tell when it's going to rain thanks to my shoulder, like some kind of old man.

Also, my mind would also absolutely be blown over the fact that I'm going to be marry Stella King, of all people. (No one tell her that she is and always has been out of my league, okay?)

Attention, everyone!

Starting tomorrow, Stella's will have a new special dish on the menu called the #fiance. It consists of spicy chicken and cheddar waffle sliders with jalapeno jam. Add a narwhal-shaped pastry on the side for a truly special meal that is both savory and sweet. And delicious, just like my man, Everett Marshall.

And a quick shout-out to one of my other favorite local haunts, The Pourhouse, where you can end your day with my favorite, the Soon-to-Be Stella Marshall, aka the jalapeno mojito. (I just made that up so you should probably just ask for a jalapeno mojito.)

Thanks to Naomi's brilliant idea, I'm going to put together a resource accessible to anyone dealing with the Dreams that essentially just lists who is being dreamed of and any other pertinent details you might think need to be included for others to identify that they're at least sharing dreams about the world even if they don't know the name. For example, it might look like:

This summer was a very good one, but I have to admit that there's something comforting about being back in a routine. This was day one of classes and I'm sure I'll take it all back come around day four (so, you know, Thursday) when I start missing near daily waffles with my #1 and wearing pajamas until noon, but today I'm good with it.

If there was someone else that was sharing dreams with us, would you want to know?

Would anyone like to come and finish unpacking my apartment for me? I am really bad at focusing long enough to get it done and it doesn't really matter where you put anything because I'd forget where I put it in a week, anyway. Things just sort of get put wherever they fit and then wind up wherever they're last used. I'm an organizer's worst nightmare.

I'm mostly joking about the help, but if someone wants to take it seriously I'm not sure I'd actually turn anyone away at this point. I'm currently living in a cardboard jungle.

In case you didn't already know, today is the most special of days because, on this day many years ago, the one and only Everett Marshall was born. Since they have yet to acknowledge my petition to make the celebration of his birth a national holiday, I'm taking it upon myself to invite all of you Dunhavenians to help me honor this wonderful, beautiful, compassionate, and all-around standup guy by coming in to Stella's today for one of two specials.

The first is the #boyfriend which is two liege waffles topped with Nutella, fresh berries, whipped cream, cookie butter, and chocolate drizzle.

The second is the Birthday Babe which is a large waffle boat with birthday cake, two large scoops of whipped cream, strawberry and chocolate drizzle, chopped pecans, celebratory sprinkles, and two cherries on top.

Better yet, 100% of profits from these two specials will be donated to Voices for Virginia's Kids in Everett's name. ❤️

So please come see us! And even if you're not feeling Stella's Famous Waffles today, don't forget to wish this handsome man the happiest birthday. 😊😊

I had my cast removed yesterday and I have never been more thankful for my left arm. I have a slightly unfortunate cast tan from being outside so much this summer, but I will take it if it means I can bend my wrist again. Except now I can see all of Inej's scars again, which is kind of
