Slide Down Slow (Numb3rs, prompt #30)
Author: [info]leda_speaks
Title: Slide Down Slow
Fandom: Numb3rs
Threesome: Liz/Robin/Nadine
Word Count: 155
Prompt: #30 - hurt
Rating: R

We know what he's like, they say to her. We understand.

Robin's eyes fill with tears and Liz nods soothingly, her arm sliding around Robin's shoulders, her hand squeezing comfort. Nadine returns from the kitchen with (another) freshly opened bottle of chardonnay, and says Oh, honey, as she sits down, pressing close against Robin's side as she leans over to refill her glass.

It's just... says Robin. I thought... she starts.

We all did, they say. We know.

Nadine's hand is on Robin's thigh, moving ever so slightly, almost imperceptibly, and Liz's lips are on Robin's neck and time is passing, liquid, the air slow, thick with things unspoken.

I want to forget, says Robin, her voice sounding strange even to herself.

Liz's tongue is wet against Robin's open mouth and Nadine's fingers are inside Robin's shirt, tracing an achingly slow path across her skin.

You can forget, they say. We can help you forget and Robin exhales.
