Who: Harry and Ginny
When: Wednesday
Where: Their flat
Rating: TBD

Unlike most newly married women, Ginny was not relaxing on a beach somewhere, enjoying her honeymoon. She and Harry had agreed that with everything going on right now, taking a holiday wouldn't be the best idea. It was one of the sacrifices of being married to 'the Chosen One', but Ginny didn't really mind it. It was almost as if nothing had changed, really, except for her last name and the solid bands they both now wore on their left hands. Of course, that didn't stop the stupid grin from creeping back up on her face everytime she had to stop and correct Gwenog when she hollered 'Weasley' instead of 'Potter'. She could have let it slide, but Ginny really preferred her new name over her old one. Plus, annoying her Captain was always fun, even if it meant a few extra laps here and there.

She was running a bit later than usual today though, because of those extra laps. And she thought maybe they'd made her a little nauseous.. or maybe the nausea had started before practice, she couldn't be sure. Either way, she came in through the door expecting an empty flat and was surprised to see Harry sprawled across the couch, looking deep in thought over a piece of parchment in his hand. Instead of sprinting for the loo, she took a few deep breaths before moving, not wanting to worry him right away.

"You're home early," she remarked, trying to keep a slow pace as she walked behind the couch on her way to the bathroom, dropping a kiss on the top of his head.

Harry hadn't bothered with going into work that day. He also hadn't bothered to remember that he was a married man now and he should have made his wife dinner while she had been out all day at Quidditch practice.

No. Instead, Harry Potter had spent most of his day pouring over articles from muggle newspapers to make sure none of them seemed to be suspicious crimes or in danger of any sort of dark magic. So far, nothing seemed to be too off course, which he was thankful for. But, then he heard Ginny enter the house and looked up quickly, noticing that she seemed a bit pale.

"Uh.. Yeah." He jumped up and moved towards her, placing a small kiss to her forehead. "You look a bit ill. Feeling okay?

"M'fine," Ginny answered, shaking her head a tiny bit, trying to convince herself as well as him. The movement didn't help. She was torn between trying to fight down the nausea, or making a dash for the toilet and stood there for a moment with her eyes shut tightly. Then her stomach lurched and made the decision for her.

She turned and all but ran into the loo, slamming the door shut behind her as she bent over the toilet bowl. She sincerely hoped that Harry wouldn't follow her in, but had a feeling he probably would. She managed to reach up and flush the toilet at least, before curling up on the floor and resting her face against the cool porcelain edge of the bathtub.

Obviously, Ginny wasn't fine. Harry stood still for a moment as she ran down the hallway and gave her enough time to hide her shame, then followed slowly behind her into the bathroom. When he saw her as a mess on the floor, he couldn't help but frown and kneel down in front of her.

"Gin.." Harry sighed. "Do we need to take you to the hospital? What's wrong, baby?" He stroked her cheek.

Still feeling a little weak and shaky, Ginny pushed herself up and turned towards Harry so she could roll her eyes at him. "People don't go to hospitals just because they've thrown up, Harry. I'm fine, really."

She gave him a tiny smile, to prove that she was fine. She felt better now, maybe even a little hungry, suddenly. She patted Harry's knee, kissed him on the cheek and then stood to rummage through the cabinet for her toothbrush. "S'was just a hard practice," she mumbled through a mouthful of toothpaste.

Harry had played a lot of Quidditch in his time at Hogwarts and even a bit while he was out of Hogwarts. And while there had been times where he thought he'd worked himself so hard he would puke, he'd never actually become physically ill from practice. And Ginny was a strong girl.

He frowned at her a bit and rested his hands on her hips. "I don't think practice would make you this sick. Maybe we should get you in to see someone. We can't have you sick right now."

Ginny finished brushing her teeth, rinsed her mouth out with clean water and spit into the sink before turning around to face Harry. Her arms went around his neck, and she gave him a look that clearly meant she thought he was overreacting.

"I'm fine," she repeated. "It was a long practice, and we've had a bit of a stressful month. Don't get your pants in a bunch over it, okay? I feel one hundred percent better now." It wasn't entirely true, but she didn't feel mostly better, and he'd just try to force her into seeing a Healer if she told him so. She knew her limits, and she hadn't reached them yet.

Harry continued to frown at Ginny for a moment, then sighed and pressed their foreheads together. "If you say so." He told her with a soft voice, clearly disappointed in her answer. He wanted to make sure that everything is okay.

"I don't want to lose my wife before I've had a chance to properly shag her." Harry informed her. "Have you eaten?"

Ginny kissed him softly, hugging him close for a long moment. "Don't be stupid," she scolded, after pulling away. "You're not going to lose me just because I can't keep my lunch down. And if you haven't shagged me properly by now, I've got to wonder what's stopping you from doing so.. not on, Harry."

She wrinkled her nose at him, laughing. Her stomach growled slightly at the mention of food, which puzzled her a little. Going from throwing up one second to being ravenously hungry the next wasn't normally something she experienced. "What do you want for supper? We've got loads of leftovers from the wedding, but I'm getting sick of those."

"I'll shag you properly when you stop randomly vomiting." Harry informed her with a laugh. "Don't want to get any in my mouth."

Harry shook his head and leaned down a bit, indicating that he wanted her to hop onto his back. "Not sure. I could cook you something, if you like. I did learn from the Dursley's, after all."

"I'm all done randomly vomiting," she informed him, sounding slightly put out. "You make it sound like this has happened more than once, you prat." She refrained from telling him how she'd forgotten about getting sick the morning of their wedding. Lots of brides had that problem, so she'd been told when her mother found her looking like hell afterwards.

She jumped lightly onto Harry's back, linking her arms and legs around him. "What'll you make me? Pancakes?" she asked, dropping a kiss on the back of his neck.

"Pancakes for dinner?" Harry asked as he began to carry her towards the kitchen of their flat. He propped her up on the counter and pulled down some flour and other things he'd need for homemade pancakes. "Do you want anything in them? We have bananas, blueberries and strawberries. Your choice. Only the best for my wife."

"What's wrong with pancakes for dinner?" Ginny asked, folding her legs up underneath her body when he set her on the counter. She thought maybe he'd shoot down the idea, but was happy to see him gathering up ingredients instead. Pancakes were quick and filling and she probably wouldn't throw up after eating them. All signs pointed to pancakes as a really good idea.

"Put blueberries in," she told him, grabbing his arm so she could pull him towards her and kiss him again. "You're sort of perfect, you know that?"

"I'm far from perfect, Misses Potter." Harry grinned and flicked his wand so that the pancake batter would fix itself and cook itself. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close this his chest, kissing a small path down her neck.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to eat?" Harry asked. "I could make bacon too."

Ginny wrapped her legs around him, tipping her head back a little. "You're not as far from it as you think, Mr. Potter." She smirked, hands slipping under the collar of his shirt, fingertips brushing against his skin.

"I could eat a hippogriff right now, actually," she informed him, lifting her head back up and kissing his nose. "Stop worrying about me. It's getting annoying, and I'll have to make you pay if you keep it up."

"You're flattering me." Harry snorted, rubbin their noses together. "And you shouldn't do that. You'll make me think I'm unstoppable and that would never be a good idea, given my past."

Harry arched a brow. "A hippogriff? I'll be sure to let Buckbeak know that, you horrible person." He laughed. "Stay away from Hagrid's hippogriff."

"Right. Shall I say you're a terrible git and I can't stand you, then?" Ginny teased, kissing him shortly. He was far from horrible, but she wasn't above taking the mickey out on him. It was one of her favorite pastimes, especially when he got flustered over it, which he regrettably didn't do very much anymore.

Her face squished up in distaste at the mention of Buckbeak. "I wouldn't eat Buckbeak! How dare you even suggest it! I'm going to tell Hagrid you're giving me ideas, and we'll see who's side he takes."

Harry laughed as the pancakes began to cook themselves, running his hands up her thighs. "I never gave you any sort of idea about eating Buckbeak. You're the one who was talking about eating hippogriffs. Honestly, Gin." He leaned in and kissed her softly.

Using her legs to pull him closer, Ginny shook her head in protest. "You're ridiculous," she told him, laughing as she kissed him back. His hands on her thighs were doing a good job of clearing away any of her more argumentative statements. "Aren't you supposed to be cooking instead of trying to seduce me in the middle of the kitchen?"

"Trying to seduce you? Please. When have I ever had to try?" Harry asked, arching a brow. "You melt into a puddle when I give you a glance." He pulled away and poured the blueberries into the pancakes.

"I do not melt into a puddle," Ginny said indignantly. But she did pout a little when he pulled away, so there was some truth to his statment. She crossed her arms over her chest, giving his back a slight glare. "I bet I could resist you much more easily than you could resist me."
