Who: Family/friends of Harry & Ginny aka wedding guests
When: Sunday afternoon/evening, during the reception (after the ceremony)
Where: The Burrow
What: Wedding stuff, woo!

Somehow, perhaps by divine intervention, everything concerning Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley's wedding had come together. The weather, which had been rainy all week, had cleared up that morning; it was sunny and pleasantly warm. The guest list had expanded greatly, but not to a number that was overwhelming. The dress she'd found with Hermione wasn't too fussy and she hadn't tripped even once. Although Ginny had initially grumped about the wedding expanding so rapidly, now she thought it couldn't have been more perfect.

Hermione had thought the ceremony was beautiful. Molly had cried, obviously. Along with two or three other people. Hestia, probably because she was great big and pregnant. Maybe because Ginny was the closest she'd ever get to a little sister. Hermione had actually not cried. She was surprised at herself. But she'd held it together! And now it was just about getting through the reception. Which wouldn't be too terrible, right? Hermione could dance well enough, and Ron ... well, Hermione could dance with other people!

Brushing the wrinkles out of the short green bridesmaid dress Ginny had picked out, Hermione sat back down beside Ginny after wandering around a bit. The food had been really good, but that wasn't a surprise. And Hermione was fairly certain it was time for the dancing. She just wanted to sit down for a bit with Ginny before all that started up. "So are you glad it turned out as big as it is?" She could tell just from the glow Ginny had all day that she was.

With the traditional first dance out of the way, more and more couples were making their way onto the dance floor. Ginny had been whirled around by so many people she'd barely been able to keep track. She'd just sunk back into her chair when Hermione sat beside her, and she gave her friend a tired but absolutely brilliant smile.

She looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding. "It turned out perfectly," she said, still grinning. "It's sort of like something out of a storybook, don't you think?" Even though Ginny would have been happy with getting married in the tool shed, she was glad her family had gone through so much effort to give her and Harry a gorgeous wedding. Now that it was mostly over, she realised she was glad she'd have it to look back on.
