Who: Song Mingmei and OPEN TO ANYBODY, C'MON! :D Where: Starbucks, let's go with early Monday morning because people need their coffee on a Monday When: Early Monday morning, June 3(say around 8ish) What: Mingmei goes about her new post as manager and is pretty excited Warnings/Ratings: Probably only G or PG depending on who jumps in, no warnings that I can think of yet!
She was super excited. She'd been promoted to store manager earlier that week but hadn't told anyone yet as she'd been in training. Monday was her first official day as manager, and she was both excited and nervous about starting. But it would look excellent on her resume and it would work even better for her future in international business. Starbucks was international company, with locations even in China. There was at least one that she knew of in Shenzhen and a handful in Hong Kong, and in mainland China there were even more. In "smaller" suburbs like Foshan there were easily two Starbucks already and coffee was becoming just as popular in China as it already was in Korea.
Not to mention, it would be an excellent opportunity to improve her English, which she felt was vastly improving already, but there were more times when Mingmei was uncertain of the right word choices or the right way to phrase certain things. Dressed in black business pants and a white blouse, Mingmei had the typical green apron on over outfit and a black Starbucks hat on to protect her hair that was tied back neatly into a ponytail. As she entered the store that day, she hummed happily and greeted her coworkers (both in Mandarin and in English, as many were curious enough to try to learn some Chinese from her). She excitedly greeted the few early morning customers as well, offering them a cheerful smile and a happy thumbs up to the few who actually looked alert. It was going to be a wonderful day. It had to be!
