Magneto outro Who: Gabriel What: Reaction to the news When: Current Where: His home Warning/Rating: Nope, none.
The news was nearly always on in Gabriel's house, except for Saturday mornings when he switched to lighter fare. Since he'd sent in the pictures, he'd been waiting, scouring both newspapers and letting the news run nearly all day while he waited to see if any of them picked it up. They did.
His lips curled as he watched the story unfold on the TV, his entire body still within his recliner. They'd done it, he'd done it. The investigator reported that John Paul and his family were unavailable for comment, but he imagined that the Warner household was in an uproar. Their patriarch, their upstanding pillar of family values and morality who wanted to clean up the streets of Vegas was a sinner like all the rest of them.
When a commercial break came on, he finally moved, his smile was a brief, bright thing, cheeks pulled so high they nearly hurt. It was only a matter of time before they removed John Paul, and Gabriel knew that he had to start now. Heading into the kitchen, he picked up the phone to start making phone calls, not noticing that something in the back of his mind had gone still when he started moving.
