Who: Yukiko Kuroda and OPEN What: Yukiko decides she needs some time to herself, too Where: UNLV, library When: Today, Thursday October 25, afternoon Warnings: None
She had to admit that she admired the boy wizard, apart from already knowing just about everything about him from reading the books herself. But knowing the story and actually being the person were two completely different things. So she told Harry that she was taking time for herself, to catch up on her studies and to do whatever else she needed to do.
She'd picked up a coffee from a local coffee shop on the way to the library and now found herself sitting at a table near the back of the library, surrounded by criminal justice books. One was on modern law, one focused primarily on the police force within the United States, and then others had various references that she needed to complete an essay. Graduate students didn't necessarily have midterm projects, but she did have a thesis she would have to complete at some point, and she knew that she wanted to get a head start on that thesis. Harry was tryithng to be helpful in her head, but most of his comments related to Aurors, mentioning various things that magical police officers did and could do to help out their communities. She supposed they did do similar things in general, but she couldn't really start scribbling the incantations to magical spells as part of her thesis statement.
