Where: Storm's End.

Warnings/Rating: TBD. Probably not much.
Stannis Baratheon and his men should have sailed for King's Landing days ago, yet he had held them back, and no one quite knew why. The timing was perfect; Joffrey was absent, Tyrion was useless without a king to serve, and the Kingslayer alone could not hold the city against an attack. The people needed a king, and without one chaos and turmoil would prevail. Renly's men were his, and he knew now why his siege had failed-- the strange future knowledge had puzzled him initially, though he had come to accept it as truth, despite wishing that Melisandre was present to shed some light on such prophesy. He did wish Davos was present as well, but being without his two most loyal compatriots had not hindered his resolve. He would claim the Iron Throne and reign as king; the king Westeros needed, the king it deserved.
Unlike most, most notably Joffrey himself, Stannis did not actually want the throne. He had no lust for power, no particular desire to rule over the masses; but it was his duty, as Robert's eldest living sibling, to rule in his stead. He was next in the line of succession, and it was only right. Stannis was a man of iron morals, and if there was one thing he would always do, it was what he perceived to be right. Perhaps he did not have the love of the people as his brother Renly had, but he would not be a cruel king, and he would have been disappointed to find that there were some who believed he might be.
Robert had always spoken very highly of Ned Stark, and Stannis had heard high praise for his son. Robb may have been a boy, but he had the loyalty of the North, and the Northern army would only aid in his quest to claim the throne. While Stannis may not have approved of the North being separate and having their own king, he did realize that it would be foolish to make an enemy of Robb Stark. They both had the same goals, did they not? Lord Stark assured him that the boy had no desire to rule Westeros, and their forces would be much stronger combined. With the North aiding his cause, Stannis was sure to take the throne... and this time, there would be no Tywin Lannister to ride to the rescue at the last moment. This time, he would have the element of surprise.
First, however, Stannis needed to speak with the boy himself. Storm's End was well defended and nearly impenetrable, but he had instructed his men to bring Robb and Ned Stark to him upon their arrival; no one else was to be allowed passage.
