Amanda had honestly tried to do as Captain America told her. She stayed away from the motel, stuck mostly to work and home and waited to hear if he could find anything. That was the smart resourceful thing to do when one is afraid of the unkillable guy with multiple voices in his head, especially one that was willing to take on other superheroes in such a suicidal manner that left her trying not to scream some nights.
But Deadpool pushed. He pushed and annoyed and played a constant plague in her mind until she couldn’t take it anymore.
With a hesitant agreement, Amanda did as the Captain asked her not to and entered Deadpool’s realm. He had promised to let up on her if he could get free reign for a little bit. Amanda felt she had no choice but to relent in the hopes of gleaning information for the good guys to stop her bad guy. She didn’t expect him to join forces with the other crazy in his head and suppress herself to almost nothingness.
Deadpool grinned to himself and bounced around, checking his messages to see if he obtained another job in his absence. He did of course, but it wasn’t anything terribly high profile which he despised. C’mon, he was Deadpool, didn’t he deserve someone of Tony Stark status? Or maybe Thor! He’d so ask for Thor’s autograph first though. In the end, he decided a job was still a job regardless, and off he went.
Crawling along the side of the building, he couldn’t help but grin. Mister boss of a small terabyte chip company chose to let everyone else leave the room except for himself. It’s like taking a small heart from a baby! "Oh yes indeed."
