Dear collective diaries,

Today I met a gentleman. He was very polite and highly eligible and also excessively dull.

I have ridden horseback and I have gone to the town to buy hair-ribbons and I have even purchased a dress mid-season from the latest Paris fashions and that is all excessively dull.

We have no lights, not even small ones, and no colors at all and there is absolutely no poker, only silly faro. Ratafia wine is revolting.

Do you think, were I to persuade my alter, he would be amenable to a more permanent reversal in fortunes?

The weekend is here, finally! I must say that I'm relieved.

...probably a strange question, giving the sorts of entries that I'm reading here. Has anyone else heard another voice inside their minds? Is...does this mean that perhaps I am crazy? I haven't really heard mine yet, but sometimes there are flashes of memory that certainly aren't mine!

I might be disappearing for a week or so. I need to get out of this town for a few days. Just giving you a heads up should I not respond immediately.

[Half an hour to find Main's number in the mainframe. The secure mainframe. The comm spits static back at him, the useless white noise of Corvus off channel and Davis - who knows where the hell Davis is. He's got documents on the table, glossy black and white photos laid out like a magazine spread and high definition gone a little blurry through motion. Corvus - despite the fact the guy is a 'wild card' - done good. There's enough here to make it work, push through to the next channel except Gabe doesn't know the next damn channel and he's twitchy enough and he's in enough of the low-buzz pain to make it an annoyance.

Main hasn't programmed her damn self into the comm unit, he goes for the phone. Ring]
