[Delivery to Tony S at his underground cavern]]

[The box is just the same as any other but inside is a complicated lock box (that Tony could easily get into with his vast array of tools) and the pieces of the suit that Bruce got back from Hank.]

There is a note that says:

"An old mutual friend of ours says stop sacrificing efficiency for style, I'd have brought them to you myself but have to get back to Vegas. I'll be in touch as soon as I can come back. We have a lot to discuss. - B. Banner

Bruce. [He sounds different. Stiff, worried, angry. Even if there's no reply, again:] Bruce.

[A pause. And a breath. And another pause.] Loki and I apparently have a friend in common. A very misguided friend. When he took your suit he gave it to the smartest most unhinged person with an Avengers grudge that he could find in order to create a device that would automatically power down your suit. Steve recently had a run in with this friend and in order to stop the madness, because that is what this is, it's pure madness, Tony. I went to see him and he handed everything over. Of course now there's the very real possibility that Loki is going to be even more pissed and kill him, and then try and kill me and then continue stalking you.

[A short silence.] You know the only way to power down the suit, Bruce?

I know the ins and outs of the many suits of Tony Stark. Hulkbuster included. I can even tell you how to store the damn thing in your bones if you so desire. But I say we avoid all of this at all costs.

[He clears his throat.] The suit is me. You power the suit off, you power me off. I want to know everything there is to know about this guy.

Tony. [Very sure of himself] No one is going to power you off. That isn't going to happen. [Over his dead body god dammit]

I'll tell you anything you want to know. Hank is an Avenger. Or he was where I come from. Where he comes from he's between Avenger gigs. He, like most brilliant people, is not well. And he wears it right on his sleeve while the rest of us try and remain under cover. I wear mine in the form of Hulk and Hank lashes out. He's basically a cybernetics God among men, he started out as a biochemist who was researching subatomic particles. He discovered a specific particle that he can use to manipulate the size of things including himself. He had an accident at one point that induced a mental health nightmare and he lost it. He was never quite the same. He'd leave and come back, he was volatile and wonderful at any given moment. He was kicked out of the Avengers after a troubling incident, there were a few more incidents he came back, he left, he came back...He stuck it out longer than I lasted. At one point he was even in charge. But this Hank, he's not better yet. I think I was able to talk him down, but I don't know how permanent that is. I like to think I talked some sense to him, but he is in deep. Obviously. I didn't know how deep until I got there. I thought he was just out to torture Steve but when he started handing over your tech, and what he'd been building and talking about what Loki had asked of him...I'm worried. For all of us. [The confident team player Bruce is fading fast.]

[Disbelieving.] Longer than you lasted? You left? Torture Steve? What could Captain Boy Scout do to make anyone want to torture him?

[He hates having to tell them this] I was asked to leave. No one trusted the other guy. You call every now and again when you need him, but I wasn't officially invited back. Eventually I was [...] It's not important. As for Steve goes, when things are further down the line, more lines get blurred things get hectic Steve is the one who originally had Hank get a court martial for what he'd done. But they worked it out eventually.

Maybe it's not. Maybe it never was but you realize what happens if there is no group, correct? Innocent people get hurt.

[A soft smile but he's still worried. Clearly.] The Extremis Armor. You injected yourself with some techno virus to save yourself from certain doom. This caused all kinds of things to happen. Long story short, You're basically a cyborg now. I like you better this way.
