[Only moments after she replies to the rune-writer. This time in English, just in case someone else knows and can answer her questions. Again in her hand instead of the regular text-type of tablets. Anonymously to start, playing heavy with caution.]

The throne sits empty.
The prisons hold an empty cell that was last known to be filled.
The people are calm and the kingdom quiet.
I search for Asgard's rightful king.
I search for the All-Father and his sons.

[The handwriting is familiar and he has heard her verses enough to see the similarities.]

Mother!

[After a long pause. He sees Thor above, but he does not believe. He knows where Frigga of the Marsh Halls is, and it is not on this plane.]

To my counting, the Allfather only has a single son.

I thought you better at counting, brother.

Better than you, brother.

Then we are still two sons of Odin.

Don't trifle with my patience. I've recently vacated an empty cell, haven't you heard? I hardly need pressing to find a reason to fill it again.

Did I miss father disowning you? No? Then you are still his son and my brother and stripped of neither title.

You must have missed our touching conversation some months ago, when I arrived at the palace escorted by an armed guard. He let me know that rather than being owed the claim to the throne that I was promised, all I was owed was the swift death that had been denied me as an infant. It was a touching reunion, actually. I shed a tear, I was so moved.

[...] Loki, I [...] You know how father can be. I cannot answer for his actions, but know that I have never wished that. But you brought war to Midgard, you sought to control the Tesseract and he did as the King must do. As I could not.

Yes. As he has so often done, and so capably, when it comes to choosing between his supposed sons. Always such a paragon of fatherhood and royalty. If only we could ask the soldiers he threw to the dark elves what they think of his decisions.

They died defending Asgard.

He brought you home to Asgard, raised you as one of us, as one of his sons, does this mean nothing to you?

And fewer would have died if he had helped your mortal from the start and taken the threat of the dark elves seriously. But he didn't, and threw soldiers untrained at fighting such a threat directly in the path of it. [...] A few other things might have been different as well.

Come now, even I am tired of this argument these days.

Nor do you like to be on the losing side.
