1. There is a strict age limit of 17 years of age. This is because much of our content will be of an adult nature and you should be at least of a legal age to read, write and view such.
2. Shipping- A. CANON SHIPS: If you are applying for a character that is, in canon, in a predetermined relationship, please know that the ship is not required for this game. If you are the first of the pair to apply, you may decide whether or not the ship will exist in-game. If you're applying for a character that is in a canon ship and whose counterpart is already in the game, check the profile of that character to see whether or not the ship will be played in-game. It's first come first serve - we will not force a player who preceded you into a ship they do not want to play. This is not a strictly canon game. B. GAME SHIPS: If you wish to ship your character and they are not already in an established canon ship to be played in-game, please note that you will be expected to wait at least two weeks before the ship can occur in-game. This is because the game is not ship-oriented and every character should be developed in the context of the game as an individual, not just as one half of a ship. Please avoid picking up characters simply to ship them for fluff. 14 days is not a long time to wait and hardly enough to create a substantial foundation for a relationship.
3. Absolutely no OOC drama. This should not even have to be said, but we as mods will not put up with players who insist on causing trouble with others. Play fair, play nice. We all learned in grade school how to do this. If you have an issue with another character/player take it a mod, do not take it to another player and do not cause trouble for another player.
4. The character limit is three per player. To be fair to other players and potential applicants, you must be equally active with all characters you play. We reserve the right to ask you to drop a role if you cannot fulfill activity requirements.
5. All journals and threads must be public, as well as character profiles. New players and applicants must be able to get a grasp of the game before joining.
6. Absolutely no ip logging anywhere.
7. Original Characters are allowed, although we will not be accepting OCs of Harry's year, or yougner, there are plenty of names on the Lexicon to suit these needs. We do, however, encourage players to create older characters, and parents of trio-era students. There will also be a large, and healthy werewolf plot. We currently have room for four werewolves to join Remus' pack. Please Note: OC and Werewolf applications will be judged very strictly. We will not allow any Mary-Sue or Gary-Stus anywhere and will be very critical of such qualities in these applications.
8. Please approve all major plotlines before putting them into play.
9. When creating a journal, usernames should not have a plethora of x's and o's, and underscores may not be used more than once consecutively. ('i_am_ron' is fine, 'i__am_ron' is not.) This is to make typing in usernames easier for everyone involved.
10. Please use British spellings and syntax as best you can. We're not demanding perfection, just asking that you try.
11. Strikethroughs are illegible to other characters.
12. Entries marked private are private IC, and cannot be 'hacked' except with explicit agreement between players.
13. Threads and logs should be done in storybook style, third-person, past-tense. Please make sure logs and initial thread posts are placed behind a IJ cut and posted in disjecta_membra
[Who:] (Characters involved) [When:] (Specific date/time) [Where:] (Where the scene takes place) [What:] (Reason for the log, or a summary) [Rating:] (Please warn for anything potentially unsafe for school/work) [Status:] (Complete/incomplete/etc.
14. Owls, packages, letters, etc. should also be posted in disjecta_membra 15. Have fun!
