Today marks the last day of registration. Thank you to those who have already registered and taken the opportunity to show how much the magical world means to you. I hope others follow suit by the end of the day. This is for the best.

And to the many boys and girls, and their parents, who are headed off to Hogwarts soon. Wish you the best. It is most assuredly a time of lots of feelings.

While Madam Umbridge has done her best in reminding us of the importance of today's date, even though I am quite certain that all reasonable Muggleborns have already or will register today, today is a bittersweet day for Narcissa and myself. It seems like it was just yesterday when we said goodbye to Draco for the first time when he boarded the Hogwarts Express; tomorrow will be our last Hogwarts goodbye. It will assuredly be a wonderful year for him, as he is bright and talented, but our summer with him has been much too short and we will miss him dearly.
