The eye is perhaps one of the most significant pieces of imagery to influence humanity.
God itself can be views as nothing more than a large eye, i.e. the great observer. It is the thing that watches us all, observes us all, ensures that no matter what we always feel as if something is watching.
If the moon were rotated so that what we view as its "bottom" were to be facing the earth, it would appear to be a giant eye in the sky, due to a large crater.
One of the most beautiful images I have seen in the galaxy is a nebula that appears in the form of a giant eye. I plan on having it tattooed onto myself, though I need to have enough money for it, as it will surely cost several thousands of dollars.
You are the other to my observer, and I similarly am the other to your observer.
