Week Fourteen - Friday
Who: Nori and Hollywood
What: She's finally getting back to the farm
Where: The Farm
When: Late Friday morning
Rating: PG
Status: Incomplete and Closed

Six weeks. That's how long the war between the Mountain Lions and the other tribes had been going on. She remembered when her brother had said that the Carrion had to leave the hospital and flee to the farm. She'd helped to get the little ones out, of course and didn all she could so that all of those in her tribe could escape safely. But, in all the confusion, Nori had gotten separated from all the rest. It was awful...seeing the army of drifters go through the city, hurting all of those people and making things so bad. Being as small and quick as she was, she was able to avoid most trouble and hide. But she couldn't completely escape being hurt. Just bruising and cuts from her trying to get out of the city. It was so scary...she was more than sure that she'd be hiding out forever. Or perhaps someone on the Mountain Lion side would just kill her. It would be better than not knowing whether or not she'd see her big brother or any of those in her tribe ever again.

And then...by some miracle, the army of the Mountain Lions began to dwindle and their hold on the city began to weaken. She didn't see them around as often anymore and things got rather quiet. Still, she chose to hide out more to completely avoid getting hurt any more. When things had finally calmed down the most, Nori tried to get out of the city, trying her best to stay unseen and keep herself from getting hurt anymore.

Eventually, alone and hurting, she found herself close to the farm where she knew the Wolves and the Carrion were staying. Relieved, Nori kept going, her arms wrapped around herself as if to keep herself from falling apart. She was still very shaken up and her bruises were hurting more than they had been before. But she had to keep going. She had to see her brother and she needed to see the other Carrion. A little thought in the back of her mind made her think of how much she wanted to see Hollywood as well. Not even being missing from her "family" could make you forget about all the people you cared about.

She looked up ahead and saw someone, though she still wasn't quite close enough to tell who it was. Once she'd gotten closer, Nori was able to identify the person. It was Hollywood. She couldn't help but smile as she kept walking. There weren't any words for how happy she was to see someone familiar.

Six weeks had seemed like a year to Hollywood, not only had he been forced to mingle with people he didn't know, but he had also not had someone he cared about with him. Nori had been missing since the day the left and like everyone else in the tribe Hollywood blamed himself entirely. If only he had been with her instead of the main group... Unfortunately that was all dust in the wind now.

As such for the past two weeks, ever since the Lions' hold on the city had fallen apart, Hollywood had been searching. Everyday he got up did what he had to in order to earn his keep on the farm and then he went into the city. He hadn't found any clues, but he vowed he would keep looking till he found out one way or another where Nori was. To be honest most in his tribe had given up hope, but things like that never halted Hollywood, likely because he had been raised by movies where things always eventually worked out.

Today has started out like every other day; he had eaten breakfast, gone and done some clean up of the farm and then had gotten his skateboard and was about to head into the city. He was just heading out the door of the farm house when he saw her. He paused for a moment is complete disbelief, but just as quickly was jumping down the front steps and running over to her. When he reached her he picked her up in a hug. Which after a second was awkward and he put her back down and stepped but.

The war had seemed like an eternity all alone. Nori had been so scared the entire time, not sure if it was safe to venture out. Being alone, afraid and hurt...it was more than enough to make the time drag on until it seemed like no time ever passed at all. She wasn't one to be able to bear being alone and without the ones she cared about. She sincerely hoped that the rest of her tribe was safe, though, and that they had made it to the farm alright even if she was stuck in in the city for so long.

If anyone had been searching for her, they'd never come across her. Nori wasn't too discouraged. As long as she was alright, she would make it to the farm and she'd find her brother and her friends. She wouldn't give up that easily, covered in bruises and cuts or not. The tiny girl was nothing if not optimistic, hopeful and, above all, perserverant.

When she saw Hollywood there, right outside the door of the farm house, there weren't any words for how glad she was to have found someone familiar after so long. She was still smiling as he came running toward her, but she hadn't been expecting him to pick her up in a hug like that. It did hurt a little bit, given the large amount of black and blue on her body, but the physical contact was more than welcome nonetheless. Once she was set back down, she looked up at him with a smile and a little bit of a laugh.

"Hi, Hollywood." She reached up to run a hand through her hair. "You have no idea how glad I am to see someone familiar."

"You have no idea how glad I am to see you, I've.... I mean we've" he stuttered, "been looking for you everywhere!" The the awkward silence, which led to him scratching his head. It wasn't itchy, just a habit he had when he was at a social loss of what exactly to do at the moment.

Twitching his lips he said, "Where were you?" It was a plain question, and he sincerely hoped that he wanted to know the answer. Truth was that he wasn't quite sure of that fact. If he found out she had been hanging out with some Twin Feather, he might just have to kill himself after all. Mostly because out of all the Tribes he thought of the TFs as having some of the coolest members and it helped explain things since they were not involved in the war. Somehow he would rather anything else... well not anything.

"Sorry for being so difficult to find," she said light-heartedly, hoping that it would lighten the mood just a little bit. She'd had no idea that everyone had been looking for her in the craziness. All she could think about was staying hidden and keeping safe so that she could make it back to her tribe in one piece. A flash of those thoughts came back to her mind for a moment, but she pushed them away, instead looking back up at Hollywood.

His question was a simple and plain one, of course. And it had a relatively simple answer. "I was in the city. Have been this entire time..." She rubbed at a sore spot on her arm for lack of anything better to do. "I've just been hiding. I got hurt when the army came through, so I was trying to keep myself out of sight until it was completely safe to find you all." There had been the option of going to the Twin Feathers for help, considering that their tribe was impartial. But it had been too risky...trying to leave the city, that is. In all of the chaos and confusion she could have very well died.
