Week Fourteen - Friday
Who: Nori and Hollywood
What: She's finally getting back to the farm
Where: The Farm
When: Late Friday morning
Rating: PG
Status: Incomplete and Closed
Six weeks. That's how long the war between the Mountain Lions and the other tribes had been going on. She remembered when her brother had said that the Carrion had to leave the hospital and flee to the farm. She'd helped to get the little ones out, of course and didn all she could so that all of those in her tribe could escape safely. But, in all the confusion, Nori had gotten separated from all the rest. It was awful...seeing the army of drifters go through the city, hurting all of those people and making things so bad. Being as small and quick as she was, she was able to avoid most trouble and hide. But she couldn't completely escape being hurt. Just bruising and cuts from her trying to get out of the city. It was so scary...she was more than sure that she'd be hiding out forever. Or perhaps someone on the Mountain Lion side would just kill her. It would be better than not knowing whether or not she'd see her big brother or any of those in her tribe ever again.
And then...by some miracle, the army of the Mountain Lions began to dwindle and their hold on the city began to weaken. She didn't see them around as often anymore and things got rather quiet. Still, she chose to hide out more to completely avoid getting hurt any more. When things had finally calmed down the most, Nori tried to get out of the city, trying her best to stay unseen and keep herself from getting hurt anymore.
Eventually, alone and hurting, she found herself close to the farm where she knew the Wolves and the Carrion were staying. Relieved, Nori kept going, her arms wrapped around herself as if to keep herself from falling apart. She was still very shaken up and her bruises were hurting more than they had been before. But she had to keep going. She had to see her brother and she needed to see the other Carrion. A little thought in the back of her mind made her think of how much she wanted to see Hollywood as well. Not even being missing from her "family" could make you forget about all the people you cared about.
She looked up ahead and saw someone, though she still wasn't quite close enough to tell who it was. Once she'd gotten closer, Nori was able to identify the person. It was Hollywood. She couldn't help but smile as she kept walking. There weren't any words for how happy she was to see someone familiar.
