"I'm doing all right, all things considered." In truth, Jax was never actually not feeling decent. It took a lot to get his spirits down. That was part of the reason why he'd earned his nickname. It didn't take much to please him and he was resourceful enough to always be able to move onto something else if what he had going wasn't exactly pleasing.
He knew how grateful she really was to him, and he felt that he deserved her gratitude. He felt that there was no place in this world for weak people like her, but somehow she'd found her place at his side and he hadn't tired of her yet. She was unlike any other woman he'd met before. Somehow she was able to understand him and accept him for what he was, when most women reviled him for who he was.
He smiled when she agreed to the ride. "All right," he held a hand out to her to help her off the sill and also to lead her out to the stables. "I hope your room suits you?"
