Week Eleven - Wednesday
WHO: Sensei and Blaze
WHAT: One's brooding, the other is homeward bound
WHERE: The Hospital
WHEN: Early evening,
RATING: R // NC-17ish...apparently they're really happy to see each other

The winter had passed far too slowly for Sensei's liking. Everything combined...the cold, the dwindling amounts of supplies and, personally for him, missing Blaze...it was all just too much. It made the days pass by at a sluggish pace and made it all the better when winter passed into spring. Things were better than they had been, but not enough for the Carrion to be better off than how they'd began. He wasn't sure just what else to do, most especially since a voice of a certain someone kept echoing in the back of his mind. Criticism after criticism after criticism. Blaze had been the one to insist that what Sensei was doing wasn't best for the tribe as a whole. The one who quite possibly had ideas to help the Carrion and make things better. But now that he was gone, the lonely leader was on his own in the decision making.

Then there was the fact that he'd missed Blaze in another sort of way. That time they'd been stuck in the basement had been on his mind just about every day. He'd loved the way it felt, his and Blaze's bodies so close. And then, of course...the kiss. The first and only kiss they'd ever shared and yet was a window for the mind to imagine what could stem from just that one kiss. The lust and general sexual frustration had not been displaced. In fact, if anything, it had only grown over the winter months. Sensei wanted Blaze rather badly. The only problem was, he didn't know if the feeling was mutual. Or if Blaze was ever even coming back.

Sensei was lounged at the base of the stairs on the first floor, just thinking. Thinking and brooding. Things were so different now, at least for him. Because there was a piece missing. There was no way of knowing if things would be whole ever again. Perhaps it was better to forget, but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Especually after being around the one you were supposed to forget about for so long.

He chuckled to himself, the sound humorless. "Sensei, man...you are so pathetic. Who would have thought just one guy would end up making you feel like this?" Another chuckle.

"Pathetic."

Blaze re-adjusted the weight of his backpack as he weaved through the rusting cars and vegetation that claimed the city streets of Sundance. The last time he’d set foot on these streets they were covered in snow. He much preferred it the way that it was now. Spring was a godsend for the tribes, especially the Carrion. Blaze was full of ambition and new ideas for the tribe and the warmer weather made everything seem possible. The two month journey he’d taken with his brother had calmed some of the anger inside of him.

The people they’d stayed with had reminded him so much of his circus family that he lost in the virus and he was reminded of a lot of things that he’d forgotten. It had scared him just how quickly and how much he’d changed in the last three years. He saw what he’d become in the faces of that tribe, they had called themselves The Free, as if they were a mirror reflecting back on him. He didn’t like what he saw and he was ready to change it, though he wasn’t sure that he could. He’d become to stuck in his ways, in the routine that was his life with the Carrion. He was also still determined to change things for the tribe, to improve whatever he could. Now more than ever, that was his priority. He wasn’t sure how he was going to do it but it would happen one way or another, that he was sure of.

The hospital came into view at the end of the next block and Blaze was smiling before he realized it. He thought that he’d never have the feeling of coming home. His entire life he’d lived on the road, traveling with the show. What he felt now must have been what normal kids felt when they returned from summer camp or visiting relatives. He forced his smile away, he wasn’t quite ready to admit just how much he’d missed this place, or who he’d missed…

He’d had a lot of time to think while he was on the road with his brother, and during that time he realized what was truly important to him. He discovered in his late night longings for Sundance that he cared about Sensei more than he ever realized before. Though they fought constantly, and had come to blows-right before he left even-he respected Sensei, and he cared about his well being as much as he claimed to care about the tribe’s. He hadn’t even spoken to Sensei since the basement incident, he hadn’t even told him that Hazard and himself were leaving. He wondered if he’d even be welcomed back into the tribe.

The sun had set just as he’d seen the hospital and a few street lights blinked on with a weary buzz, some of them flickering on and off. Still, even without the lights he would have been able to see by the light of the moon and the path he was on now was very familiar to him. He climbed over the hood of one of the many cars that blocked the stairs leading to the hospital doors. He stood for a moment and looked up at the building that he’d called home for the last three years before he climbed the stairs. He was feeling much healthier than when he’d left his hungry tribe. The tribe they’d stayed with had had plenty of food and decent shelter so he’d filled out again and even managed to work out some showing the kids there the kind of tricks that Hazard and himself could do.

He swung his heavy backpack off his shoulders and slipped it in between the boards that made their front door. Only a few panes of glass remained on the front entrance of the hospital, the rest was boarded up and the Carrion liked to keep it that way. To get in someone either had to know with boards to shift or break the last remaining glass which didn’t leave them much room to climb in anyway as there were boards in the way of the whole windows as well. Blaze crouched and climbed in through the boards after he sat his backpack down inside, the contents making a heavy clinking sound.

He straightened himself up and went to reach for his bag when Sensei caught his eye. He shouldn’t have been stupid enough to think that there would be no one guarding the door at this hour. He was silent for a moment, merely staring at the face that he’d seen in seen in all of his dreams for the last two months. For some reason it popped into his mind just how strange it was that he didn’t know Sensei’s real name. Had he been told once and forgotten it? It bothered him now. The Free had had all of their real names still, they had said it was the only way to honor the dead. Blaze, however, had been known as such long before the virus and only his brother still called him Alex.

“Sensei.” He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair, his gaze wandering from Sensei’s. Here was the moment of truth- would his brother and him be allowed back in the tribe?

Over the winter he'd had a lot of time to think about just how much he really cared about Blaze. It was so different, not having him around. Even if when he had been around, he and Sensei had fought all the time. Argued about how the tribe should be run and such. And to think that before Blaze had left they had actually gotten to the point of having a physical fight. And of course a kiss. After that, the two hadn't really spoken and Sensei hadn't even known when Blaze and his brother Hazard had left. And even if things had ended on a bad note, there wasn't a way for him to get the other boy off his mind. Pathetic? Maybe just a little...but there wasn't anything wrong with that. It wasn't as if it was something bad to think about. Think about and dream about, actually.

Sensei sighed some, shifting his weight so his elbows were resting on his knees. The hospital was so quiet. A lot of the kids were already going to bed and some of the older members of the tribe were off somewhere, either with some of the kids or doing something on their own. Not that it bothered him. This really seemed like a time to just be alone. Alone and staring at the ceiling or the floor. The sound of someone at the boards that pretty much made up the front door made him tense. Though it did seem like an overreaction. It could have just been another member of the tribe, after all. Besides , he was confident that if it was someone else, he would be able to handle it. He merely sat there, sitting up and watching the entrance.

The absolute last thing he'd been expecting was to see Blaze climbing through. There was a very surprised look on his face that he tried hard to get rid of before the other boy would notice. For a few moments, all he could do was stare. Stare at the face that had been the center of his thoughts, dreams and daydreams for so long. Just as Blaze looked away, Sensei got up from his spot on the steps. "Hey, Blaze. Long time no see, huh?"

He would have been mad, but it was pretty much impossible to at that point. He'd gotten over it. Blaze and Hazard leaving. Just because they'd been gone so long didn't mean that the two of them wouldn't be allowed back in the tribe. Things hadn't been the same without them.

Blaze was surprised at the happiness that crept into his heart at the sight of Sensei. He couldn’t help but smile and laugh at Sensei’s greeting. The time leading up until the day that Blaze and Hazard had left had been tense at best. Sensei and Blaze had avoided each other in a kind of awkwardness that Blaze had never felt. A good deal of that awkwardness was gone, and most importantly all of the same that Blaze had associated with it was gone as well. Still, he wasn’t sure how Sensei felt and he wasn’t about to go parading his feelings, or what they’d done in the basement, to the rest of the tribe. He wasn’t sure how Sensei felt but was it not Sensei that had started the kiss? Blaze could hardly remember, he’d re-imagined the situation so many times in his mind that he was no longer sure what was true or not.

“Hah, yeah.” Blaze tamed his smile into a grin and picked up his bulging backpack. “We went looking for supplies.” He said quickly, feeling the need to offer up some sort of explanation even if Sensei hadn’t asked. So that wasn’t quite the whole truth, but it was true. Blaze had needed to get away. A part of him had wanted to see if he could make it without the Carrion, just his brother and himself; and they could have, and their lives would have been a whole lot more comfortable if they’d stayed with The Free but both of them agreed to return, to help those they’d called family for the last three years. Blaze craddled the backpack in his arms like a child and unzipped the main pouch a little as he stepped closer to Sensei.

He leaned forward carefully with the overstuffed bag so that Sensei could see into the pouch. It was full of jars of all shapes and sizes and a few sacks too. The jars were full of preserves and other food stuffs. “We found some. Hazard should be back tonight or tomorrow morning with some more.” He looked up at Sensei as he re-zipped the bag. He felt like there was something else he should be saying but he couldn’t quite form the words. “Want to help me put this away?” He didn’t wait for Sensei’s reply. He stepped past Sensei and headed down a dimly lit corridor that lead to the hospital cafeteria. This was where he’d been on his last day here, Christmas, watching his tribe members make a pathetic attempt to pretend they weren’t all starving and freezing to death. He got chills, and felt guilty for having left them. But he was here now, and that was what counted. He went behind the counter and into the kitchen. The refrigerator still worked back there but they never had much to stock it with until now. He swung his backpack up onto the counter and unzipped it before he started to unload everything into the fridge.

This would be a nice distraction from the butterflies in his stomach, at least for now, but how long could they both stay silent about what had happened between them?

Seeing Blaze again after two months really did make him happy. That was how it worked when you got to see someone that you had been missing...and thinking and dreaming about for so very long. Seeing Blaze smile and laugh automatically made him smile as well. This was better. Before things had been incredibly awkward and tense. They made it a point to avoid each other at all costs and in retrospect, that probably just made it worse. Most of that was gone now. Time to think always did a person good, right? Still, Sensei wasn't quite sure how Blaze really felt. And until he did, not a word of that day in the basement or his true feelings would be told to anyone else in the tribe. It was true, when they'd been locked in the basement he had initiated the kiss. But Blaze had responded to it and returned it. Was that an indicator of what he really felt or did it just mean that Blaze had been screwing around with him on purpose? There was no way to know without asking. Or perhaps getting into the same kind of situation as their time in the basement would work. Sometimes action was better than words.

"Really?" The mention of supplies had him sounding a lot less down than he'd been in a long time. So that was what was in the backpack? To be truthful, otherwise he wouldn't have asked. It just seemed like it wasn't any of his business. What Blaze and Hazard chose to do wasn't any of his concern unless they included him in it. But they hadn't, so he hadn't pried. Just like he wouldn't really ask now. It really did mean something, though, that Blaze had come back. Obviously wherever he'd been was better than being with the Carrion. And still he'd returned. And thank goodness for that. Otherwise Sensei would have gone mad thinking about him all the time...

He looked into the bag, seeing the jars and sacks nestled in there. That was a lot of food. More than he'd seen in awhile. "That's great. And I can't wait to see Hazard. He's okay, right?" In the back of his mind there were other things that were begging to be said. But the words just wouldn't translate from his mind to his lips. He nodded in reply about putting the food away, following after Blaze as he started down the hall that led to the hospital cafeteria. It was comparatively more gloomy than it had been on Christmas. When all of the kids and others in the tribe tried to grin and bear it through all being hungry and freezing. It had only made Sensei feel worse for not knowing how to help them. He shook his head to rid himself of the memory. This was a time to be, at least, somewhat happy. Blaze was back and soon Hazard would be too.

He put himself to work, taking some things from the backpack and placing them in the refrigerator. At this was keeping him busy and taking his mind off of all of the things he wanted to say to Blaze. And all of things he was really tempted to do as well. But they could really only stay silent about it for so long.

When Sensei reached the kitchen and started helping him Blaze responded to his earlier question. “Hazard is fine, he’s on his way here with more supplies.” Blaze avoided Sensei’s gaze as they both worked to unpack the bag and an uncomfortable silence fell between them. At least he had the use of both his hands now. His burned palm had long since healed and the oils and herbs that The Free used on his scar had greatly diminished it. However, he still didn’t have quite all the feeling there that he used to have.

From the way Sensei had received him Blaze was sure that they were welcome back. It would be a lie to say that it didn’t surprise him. He had ran the scenario of their return through his head hundreds of times and none of them had gone this easily. When the bag was full he took his time to zip up all the pockets before he turned to look at the half-full fridge. It was a nice sight, as normally the entire thing was empty. If only he could bring all of the Carrion south to live with The Free. But that would have been an unfair burden on his winter friends and he wasn’t sure that Sensei would trust him enough to lead the entire tribe miles and miles away from Sundance on nothing but a promise.

He knew he had to do something, and he knew that that something had to be done without Sensei knowing it. He had to figure out a way to change things for the tribe without letting it on to Sensei until things were so changed for the good that Sensei couldn’t be mad at him or say no. What exactly that plan was, Blaze wasn’t sure yet. With the empty bag over his shoulder he stepped past Sensei and closed the refrigerator door. He leaned back against it for moral support. He felt a lump form in his throat. There was a nagging feeling in his mind, he knew he had to say something to Sensei.

The silence was just about unbearable and so before he could think about what to say any longer he spoke, “Sensei, I’m sorry about the basement-for everything there. I mean, I liked, you know I’m just sorry…”

It wasn't hard to notice that Blaze was avoiding his gaze. Sensei actually avoided eye contact as well and didn't say anything. So the two were left with a rather uncomfortable silence as they worked, putting everything away. It could have been worse though, like being as painfully awkward and tense as the days before Blaze and Hazard had left. While not speaking, he noticed that Blaze's hand that had been burned before wasn't causing him any pain. That meant it had to be healed, right? Just something else that their meager supplies hadn't been able to do. And they were living in a hospital, for Christ sake. That really said something about where the tribe was. And it was only bound to get worse unless some kind of turning point ended up happening.

Still, that hadn't stopped him from being happy about Blaze coming back. He and his brother were welcomed back, of course. And that had mostly to do with the fact that Sensei had missed Blaze so much. Things had felt rather...lonely without him. Not welcoming him back just wasn't an option. The sight of the fridge having so much food in it really was great. After all, normally the thing was empty or only contained a few pitiful scraps of food that they'd come by. That was the way it had been for so long to the point that everyone was used to it. There had to be something better out there somewhere, but chances are Sensei wouldn't just let the entire tribe be lead away on the promise of something better. It just went against his better judgement.

Sensei moved away from the fridge when Blaze shut the door and he leaned against a nearby counter, just watching the other. There were so many things in his mind that were begging to be said. That wanted to be asked. Something really did need to be said. Being at the awkward and generally uncomfortable standstill they were at now just wasn't working. If it went on for much longer, then he really could say that he would go insane.

But the words just wouldn't string together right in his head. He put his hands in his pockets, looking back up at Blaze when he began to speak. "Look, you don't have to be sorry. If anything, I should be sorry. I almost beat you up and..." Just then a very key part of what Blaze had said clicked in his mind. He'd said that he'd liked it. And considering that the only two things that had happened down there were the fight and the kiss (and no normal person liked getting into fights)...that meant that he'd liked the kiss, right? "Wait a second...did you just say that you liked it?" Or was he just imagining it.

Blaze swallowed thickly and pressed himself back against the fridge. He wet his lips and looked around the fridge where he could barely get a glimpse of the cafeteria. It was empty and he didn’t hear any noise that would indicate the return of his brother. He felt the butterflies in his stomach climb into his chest and run down his arms; he gripped his backpack strap a little harder.

“It’s ok, we’re cool now…” Blaze said, more or less talking over Sensei’s apology speech. Sensei’s next question silenced him and made him even more nervous than before. Blaze bit the inside of his bottom lip, how was he supposed to answer that question, what was the tone in Sensei’s voice. If he admitted to like the kiss and Sensei didn’t feel the same way about him things would get even worse. If Sensei had kissed him just to taunt him, or if he had kissed Sensei (damn his memory!) and meant it things were bound to get even more tense around the hospital than they had been before he left. At least I’m stronger now, he thought rather pathetically. He’d filled out and built back a lot of the muscle he’d lost while being in Sundance so it was possible he’d have a better chance against Sensei if it came to blows again.

“Liked it? Well, I mean, do you mean the fight or the uh…” Blaze was sure he was red now. Sensei was the first boy he’d ever kissed and god, this was worse than trying to deal with a girl. “I mean, I’m not mad at you for the uh, it- the thing you know, I’m not mad about it.” He shook his head to emphasize his words.

There was a strange fluttering in his stomach that paired with the way his mind didn't seem to want to work right. Butterflies? Definitely. Sensei almost wanted to laugh at himself. This was the first time that anyone, guy or girl, had ever had him this nervous. Blaze was the first guy that he'd ever been interested in and actually acted on said interest, so perhaps that was why? Either way, feeling so nervous really wasn't helping. Like, really, really wasn't helping. And something else that wasn't helping...the fact that he was still able to take notice of how attractive Blaze was through all of this.

Obviously his question had silenced Blaze. He needed to know the answer, though. The answer he'd been wondering about pretty much since the incident in the basement had occurred. Because if Blaze liked the kiss and felt the same way that Sensei felt about him, that essentially meant that the tenseness and awkwardness would go away. At least he hoped so. The kiss most definitely hadn't been a taunt. He'd meant it, really, considering that it was something that he'd thought about doing just about every time he and Blaze got into a conversation. But if Blaze didn't feel the same way and that tense and awkward atmosphere continued, then there was a chance that they could get into a fight again. And with one of them healthier, there was a bigger chance that the other one would lose. Bet you can guess which one's which.

"No I don't mean the fight." Was that a blush? That was a first. He'd never seen Blaze blush ever before. It looked nice on him... "I didn't ask if you were mad about the kiss," Sensei said, figuring there wasn't any harm in referring to it directly. "I asked you if you liked it. Because...well...I did." There, he'd said it. Now it all depended on if Blaze had liked it to. Because if he hadn't...well this really sucked.

Blaze’s heart was pounding in his chest now. He was a natural born performer and not used to this feeling akin to stagefright. He’d juggled fire and walked a trapeze line without breaking a sweat but talking to Sensei in this moment topped all of those as far as anxiety was concerned. He felt awkward, unsure of himself and frankly -ridiculous. If he could do all of those things in front of hundreds of people why couldn’t he manage to have a straight-forward conversation with the person, with the boy, that he liked? It was yesterday that he’d visited his mother’s grave for the first time since he’d buried her, and it was her voice that popped into his head now. She’d told him to never be afraid, life was too short not to grab who you loved and run with them.

“Oh…” Sensei’s directness took Blaze aback. He tried not to show his surprise. Had Sensei really just said that he’d liked it? As much as Blaze had hoped to hear something like that from Sensei he could hardly believe that it was true. His mind was racing with so many thoughts, so many ways to respond and the possible outcome of those ways. Blaze exhaled with a small nervous laugh as if he’d been holding his breath. He looked away from Sensei to search for a way to react. What would Hazard think? What would the rest of the tribe think?

He ran a hand through his hair before finally facing Sensei again, his knuckles were white from gripping the strap of the backpack so hard. “Uh, yeah. I did too. I liked it.” He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm his pounding heart. He stepped away from the fridge as if he was going to leave but he didn’t. As he awaited Sensei’s reaction it occurred to him that this could all be some kind of sick joke that he may have just stepped right into. His stomach gave a lurch and he hoped to God that that wasn't the case.

This feeling was entirely foreign to him. The rapid beating of his heart and the nervousness twisting his stomach into knots. Sensei wasn't used to feeling this way for any reason, let alone because of someone he liked. It made him feel so...utterly ridiculous and almost like a kid. A kid about to get punished for something he'd done wrong. He couldn't bring himself to just have a normal conversation with Blaze. Pathetic? Maybe just a little bit. But in the back of his mind he kept reminding himself that everyone felt this way sometime or another. Maybe not for the same reasons that he had, but it still happened. And honestly, the sooner this feeling went away, the sooner things could be better. At least a little bit.

Yes, what he'd said had been rather direct, but to him that was the simplest way to deal with it. Yes, he really had said that he'd liked the kiss. It wasn't being imagined or anything. He meant every word of it too. And now his mind was running a mile a minute. What if Blaze hasn't liked it? What if he'd just messed things up more by saying what he'd said? There were so many different outcomes for this situation depending on the responses. Sensei was entirely silent as Blaze gave a laugh that sounded nervous. But his eyes never did leave the other boy's face. Honestly, if things did end up working out the way that he wanted them to, he didn't much care what anyone else thought. It wasn't exactly a secret that he was bi. It was something that he'd come to terms with, not to mention that it was something his sister tended to blab about.

Sensei just stood there, relaxed as he could possibly be. Blaze's response surprised him. "Really?" It was always better to be sure. He wanted to know if Blaze really meant it. There was always the chance that he didn't. But how to test if he really did?

"Well...if you really did like it, then you wouldn't be opposed if it happened again, right?" Sensei stepped closer to him, but not to the point of invading his personal space. "You know, it was my birthday yesterday. Do you think you'd mind parting with a kiss for the birthday boy?" Sometimes actions were the best way of finding out if something was for real.

Blaze nodded with a meek smile. He studied Sensei’s every move. If this were a joke shouldn’t it be time for the rest of the tribe to pop up from behind the counters in fits of laughter? But there was no sound, only Sensei and him-alone in the hospital’s industrial kitchen. He felt like he was in one of the many dreams he’d had while on the road. He wondered what it would have been like if Sensei and the rest of the tribe had been able to come with Hazard and him. He could imagine things being perfect if they didn’t have so many things to worry about or fight over. But he was going to fix that whether they stayed in Sundance or not. He was going to change things.

Blaze’s lips parted to answer Sensei’s retorical question but nothing came out. Of course he wouldn’t mind it happening again, it was all that he had thought about for weeks-months. While he was away he analyzed what had happened in the basement so many times. He rememered hearing things from Sensei’s sister before, but he had never paid them much attention because at that time he’d worked harder than anything to deny what he’d been feeling for Sensei for years. Sensei was closer now. “Your birthday?” He’d forgotten. At Sensei’s request he took a shallow, nervous inhale. What could he say to that? There was nothing the seemed right, and so when words failed him he could not longer hold himself back. He let his backpack fall from his shoulder as he stepped forward to close the gap between them. Slowly he reached from Sensei’s shoulders and placed his his trembling hands on each one. He hesitated for another moment, trying to read Sensei’s gaze and as far as he could tell there was nothing malicious there. He maintained eye contact with Sensei until the moment he pressed his lips to the other boy’s. He was so warm and soft, so much better than Blaze remembered their breif and brutal encounter in the basement.

It wasn't a joke. This wasn't something to be joking about. Most especially because feelings could be hurt that way. He wasn't that much of a jerk. So, no, there wouldn't be anyone popping out from behind the counters laughing and screaming 'Gotcha!'. It was just the two of them alone in the kitchen. No one else around to hear or see any of the things going on between them. The whole atmosphere reminded him of some of the dreams he'd had about Blaze over the winter. Only this time it was happening for real. And to be perfectly honest, it really was making him happy. Happier than he had been in a while.

No response, hm? Not that he had really expected one. It was an entirely rhetorical question, it seemed. Sensei had wanted something like this to happen for the longest time, even after the first time. It was constantly on his mind to the point where he had daydreams about it or it slipped into his dreams at night. There wasn't any point in trying to deny or hide just what he really felt. Not now that he knew the feeling was the same for the both of them. "Yeah, my birthday. It's okay if you didn't remember." He gave a small smile of reassurance, the action lifting the corners of those heart-shaped lips the slightest bit. Sensei stood perfectly still as Blaze closed the gap between them and placed his hands on each of his shoulders. There wasn't anything malicious in his dark eyes when they kept eye contact. But as Blaze pressed his lips to his own, Sensei's eyes closed. This was what he'd been dreaming about for so long now. Blaze's lips were so soft and felt so good against his. His hands came up to settle on the other boy's hips. Yes...this was the best birthday present he could have ever asked for.

Hazard had just arrived at the hospital and it was good to see the old place again. Being in his home confirmed his thoughts on the Carrion and what should happen with it. It was time for the tribe to claim more territory and he was going to lead the movement. He lugged the supplies against his back and headed to the appropriate rooms in order to place the new items for everyone else to use. He had a portion of the food supplies in his hand when he walked towards the kitchen... and stopped a small distance as he saw the two figures there.

Not just any people. His brother and Sensei. They were standing close to one another and.... oh. Kissing? Gross. To say this was a shock was an understatement and Hazard turned around to walk off, deciding to wait until they left the area. Blaze had never told him anything about Sensei before and that was the most irritating part about this. As long as they performed their duties normally... and he didn't have to see this again, he could push it out of his mind. He hoped.

Sensei hadn’t shown up at Blaze’s birthday party or even said anything either so Blaze figured they could be considered even. Of course Blaze hadn’t wanted him to show up to the party at the time, that had been right after the basement incident. The fear in his gut was finally lessening into a warm excitement that coursed throughout his whole body. This was better than what he remembered, even than what he had dreamed. He ended the kiss and wrapped his arms loosley around Sensei’s neck. It was amazing that they could touch each other like this when the last time they’d been throwing each other around a room.

Blaze liked this much better, but a touch of unease still coursed inside of him. Sensei and Blaze still did not agree on the direction of the tribe, that had not gone away-nor would it. However, Blaze had made up his mind to try a different approach, one that didn’t include criticising Sensei’s choices. Instead he planned to be as helpful and cooperative as possible while he tried his best to think of a plan to change things for the Carrion. His cooperation would of course be genuine, his affection and his coming obedience were in no way a way for Blaze to use Sensei or trick him. During the winter Blaze realized how much he actually liked Sensei, and he didn’t want to fight with him anymore. All his prior criticisms had just been other forms of frustration, a frustration that was so wonderfully on its way to release.

“At least I remembered you.” Blaze backed up so that he was leaning against the fridge again, his arms still slung over Sensei’s shoulders. He brought a hand up to bury his fingers in the hair at the nape of Sensei’s neck. He was still trembling from the feeling of Sensei’s body against his own, and those hands on his hips. He leaned forward again to press his lips to Sensei’s in a kiss that was much more desperate than before.

He pulled away again, though with hesitance. "My brother, he'll be back soon and he has more stuff to bring to the kitchen..." But Blaze didn't want to leave him now; now that he could touch him and know that he was still real and that he felt the same way. "We could uh...Go upstairs?" He said rather nervously, though he tried to recover with an attempt at a joke, "Unless you've lent my room out already."

Yes, they could be considered even on the birthday front. Sensei hadn't gone to Blaze's birthday party because he wasn't wanted there. Not to mention that the tenseness and awkwardness would have killed the mood. It had been right after the scene in the basement, anyway. But now things were different. The nervousness that had been plaguing him just minutes before was starting to dissolve into a kind of excitement. One that filled him from head to toe. This...this was better than the memory of what happened in the basement and all of his dreams. Honestly, he didn't want that kiss to end, but it did. Though that didn't mean that they had to stop touching each other, now did it? Especially since it didn't mean that they would be shoving each other across the room.

Sensei liked this a lot. Yes, there was still that thought in his mind that the two of them still didn't agree on how to run the tribe. Likely that wasn't going to go away. Hopefully now, though, Blaze wouldn't be criticizing him left and right. Things would have to change...he just didn't know how to change them and make sure that everyone was still safe. That was what a leader had to think about. Everyone's well-being and safety. But that was what was to come. Not that exact moment. After liking Blaze for so long and not saying a word about it, he wanted to enjoy this new feeling, knowing that Blaze liked him too. He didn't want to fight. Besides, all the constant arguing had been his frustration trying to vent. Now, though...well now that frustration was going to be gone.

"True. I would have been hurt if you didn't." A bit of a smirk touched his lips with the comment as Blaze leaned back up against the fridge. It felt really nice, having the other's arms slung over his shoulders. His fingers in his hair. Feeling Blaze's body against his was amazing and he was half tempted to just pull him in again. But he would settle for having his hands on Blaze's hips...for now. When they kissed again, Sensei's lips were equally as desperate. Now that he'd finally experienced this again, it seemed that he couldn't get enough.

And then it had to end again! "Right, right..." Sensei didn't want to leave him either. Not now. Now Blaze wasn't a figment of his wandering mind or just a figure gracing his dreams. He was real. Entirely there to touch. To kiss. "Sure. Upstairs sounds plenty fine to me." He smiled some before pressing a short and soft kiss to Blaze's lips. "No, I didn't. But the rats might have taken over. You never know." He chuckled some, the smile not leaving his face.

Blaze couldn’t help but feel that he was smiling like an idiot and in an attempt to hide some of his happiness he bit his bottom lip. “The rats… God.” He remembered how bad the stupid things were just before he left. In fact, he’d kicked one down the stairs. He was hoping that Spring had at least eased the rat problem since more food was available outside than there had been in the winter. He let his arms fall from Sensei and to his own sides. By now it was likely that most of the tribe was asleep or at least tucked away in their own rooms but he didn’t want to risk anyone seeing them together in such a way.

He re-shouldered his backpack and lead the way through the cafeteria and started up the stairs. He wished that the elevator still worked. Despite the availability of electricity in the building the elevator never budge from halfway between the second and third floor. As luck would have it Blaze’s room was on the top floor in the northeast corner so they had quite a walk. “I bet I’m in better shape than you now.” Blaze slowed his pace to match Sensei’s as they walked up the stairs. Blaze had never really been out of shape, he’d been a performer all his life and such activity had shaped and toned his body. It was his endurance that had languished in the poor living conditions of the Carrion.

Blaze hopped a few steps ahead of Sensei. “What do you think?” He asked playfully, walking backward on the stairs. It was strange to be so friendly with Sensei, despite his feelings for him. He couldn’t even remember the last time they’d joked around with each other. “Think you can catch me?” With those words he sprinted up the stairs as quietly as he could so as not to draw the unwanted attention of the other tribe members.

He had so much nervous energy in him that the run did him good. He was barely ahead of Sensei and he did his best to avoid any attempts that Sensei may have made to grab his jacket or otherwise. When he reached his floor he barreled down the hall. Luckily he was the only person on the very top floor so they didn’t have too much to worry about once they were up there. He swung open the door to his room and turned to face Sensei, his breathing rapid.

Smiling like an idiot? Not quite. And Sensei rather liked Blaze's smile. It was nice, very nice. "Yeah well, the rats are still around. Like it or not. Thought it's not as bad." They were a bunch of stupid annoyances, but living the way that they did meant having to put up with them. The change in season had made things a bit better, though, considering that there was more of a food source for them outside of the hospital walls. Not having Blaze so close, with his arms slung over his shoulders like that, automatically had him wanting that touch again. Though really it did seem to be best for them to go somewhere else. Couldn't risk someone seeing them together like that. Everyone else knew them to be at each other's throats all the time, not sharing kisses.

He followed after Blaze, through the cafeteria and then up the stairs a bit. No elevator sadly. Stubborn thing didn't move past a certain point. Of course, Blaze's room was on the top floor of the hospital. Sensei assumed that that was where they were headed. Stairs had never been a problem for Sensei before, nor were they now. At least, walking up the stairs wasn't. Chasing after kids all day long did tend to tire him out more quickly than it would have before. "You think so, huh? Just because you might have had more decent food doesn't mean that you're in better shape than me." Or maybe it did.

He looked up at Blaze when he hopped a few steps ahead. "I think you're mistaken." He continued walking up the stairs. It was true, being so playful and friendly was a bit odd. But it was nice. Better than fighting, that was for sure. "Most definitely." Up for the challenge, he followed after Blaze, trying to match pace as they ran up the stairs quietly. Couldn't wake anyone up or attract too much attention, now could they?

Yes, he did try and grab Blaze's jacket or his backpack a few times, but unfortunately it never worked. And still Blaze stayed ahead of him the entire time. It looked like second place would have to do. His breathing was rapid and a tiny bit on the shallow side once they'd reached Blaze's room. Okay...maybe he wasn't still in the same shape he'd been. Though he could probably still take the other in a fight. Not that he wanted to by now. "Okay, okay...you win."

Blaze leaned over to catch his breath, his hands resting momentarily on his knees. Running up almost eight flights of stairs was more than a decent work out and it would be a lie to say that he had barely been able to stay ahead of Sensei. He dropped his backpack and wriggled out of his jacket that was now much too hot for him. He looked around the room, it was completely untouched from the last time he’d been there. It made him smile. He’d been gone for two months without a word and yet there was somewhere for him to come back to. “Hm, for once.” He huffed in a breathless laugh.

He walked to the big window that overlooked the city. The sun was almost completely set and from the side of the hospital that his room was on they could barely see it, only a thin line of brilliant orange and blue fading upward to deep purple. Blaze was so happy that the bad weather was over. The temperature in the hospital was almost tolerable for once, in fact the run up the stairs had made him break a sweat. He turned from the window and let himself fall back onto the makeshift pile of pillows, blankets and hospital matresses that was his bed. He looked up at Sensei, “You forget that I used to be a performer.” He grinned.

It was strange acting like this with his formerly archrival but Blaze had grown a considerable amount over the winter. He was different now, but he still had his old self inside him. God, if only the Carrion could somehow live like The Free then everything would be perfect. He folded his arms up behind his head to lay on his palms.

Really? Running up almost eight flights of stairs was a work out? Who knew? Sensei leaned against the wall a moment, waiting to catch his breath and get his breathing a bit more even. And of course he was making a mental note not to run up that many stairs again if he could help it. Stepping into the room, he watched Blaze as he dropped his backpack and then his jacket. The room had been completely untouched since his departure. Nothing disturbed or taken. Actually, if anything, it was still decent looking. Clean. Noriko had seen to that. You never know if he'll come back... she'd said. "Yeah well, don't get used to it. I like winning too much to lose more than once." Always a joke, of course.

With his hands in his pockets, Sensei watched as Blaze collapsed back onto his bed. "Yeah. And you forget that I used to do martial arts. Since I was pretty little." He grinned. "See, if we got in a fight again I'm pretty sure I'd still be able to win." His eyes wandered over to the view of the sunset from out the window. Thank goodness for the change in the weather. Made things a bit more tolerable inside the hospital. Not bone-chilling cold anymore.

It was really strange acting so friendly with the guy who'd been his enemy for so long. And also the secret object of his affection. Things had changed with time and distance, it seemed. Blaze seemed different, but not in a bad way. Slowly and leisurely, Sensei went to sit by Blaze on the bed. "I'm glad you came back, by the way. Though I'm sure you know that."

Blaze shook his head with a grin, but couldn’t cover up the fact that it felt good to hear Sensei say such a thing. It had been a real concern of his that him and his brother would be turned away. When they’d left they’d told no one and to be honest, Blaze had believe then that he didn’t want to come back. In his mind he’d been leaving Sundance, the Carrion, Sensei, for good. He hadn’t even shared that with his brother who believed that they were on a mission only to scope things out and find food and hope for the Carrion. Their journey only became that for Blaze when they were with the Free. The Free’s lifestyle slowly wore away most of Blaze’s fears and resentments about returning back to the Carrion. The Carrion were his family now, as much as Hazard was and he was finally beginning to accept that fact.

Blaze rolled onto his side and propped his head up with his palm. “I’m glad too.” He finally said with a smile, though he looked at a loose thread in the blanket that he was playing with and not at Sensei. He felt a fresh wave of nervous energy come over him. He could hardly believe that this was real, that what had happened in the kitchen was real. He was determined for things to be different between Sensei and himself, and perhaps now that they’d revealed at least some of their feelings to each other it would be much easier for Blaze to back down and respect Sensei’s leadership. After all, Sensei had let them join the Carrion and had done a lot for them in the sense of keeping them alive and well. Blaze had never thanked him for that, and even now his pride was too strong to let him.

Ever since the basement incident Blaze had been bursting with his desire for Sensei. It had been with him before of course, but only as a dull ache that had been easy to ignore and cover up with rage. Now that ache was dizzying and infested all of his thoughts. He wanted to touch Sensei again, to feel the strength in his arms and the softness of his mouth. He swallowed his lust filled anxiety long enough to raise his free hand to Sensei’s shoulder. He pulled Sensei down as he laid back onto his back, hoping that he’d get a positive response. He met Sensei’s gaze with his own searching one.

Before, would his pride ever have allowed him to say that? No. Even though he'd long since come to terms with what he felt for Blaze, there was still that overwhelming pride that had gotten in the way before. That wouldn't let him admit that he missed Blaze. But after all the time to just...think, everything was clear. Simple even. He cared about Blaze and the entire time he was gone, he hoped that he would come back. That return would give him the chance to say what he'd been wanting to say for so long. It had taken a lot of self convincing and even some admonishing from his sister, but he'd held on to the belief that Blaze would come back. And he did. Sensei was so glad of that. So glad that words didn't seem quite efficient enough to describe it. There were no more fears.

It was easy to see that Blaze wasn't looking at him. He seemed more preoccupied with a loose thread on his blanket. Sensei looked back at the sunset, still feeling the knot of nervousness bunched up in the pit of his stomach. He'd told the truth, yes. He'd found out that Blaze felt the same way. And yet still there was still some disbelief that all of it had even happened. The talk, the kisses...all of it. Despite the anxious and nervous feeling, he still wanted things to be different. Better. Hopefully they wouldn't fight even if they didn't see eye to eye all the time. There had to be a way to make it work out alright. And Sensei was more than willing to try and find it.

His want for Blaze had always been there, though he had been much more at ease coping with it and covering it up with sarcastic remarks and fighting words. It eased that physical aching for him. Not though...it was welling up and starting to wash over him. Not that that was a bad thing. Now the two of them could use other methods of slaking the urges instead of yelling at each other or physically fighting.

The feeling of Blaze's hand on his shoulder brought him back from looking at the sunset. He allowed himself to be pulled down and he leaned over Blaze who was now on his back below him. It was all too tempting. He matched his gaze with Blaze's and, entirely too tempted and too weak to resist it, he leaned down and pressed his lips to the other boy's. Blaze's lips were so soft and it only made the kiss more desperate...hungry, even.

Blaze couldn’t think of anything better to have come home to. It all seemed too perfect. He smiled with an anxious happiness as Sensei leaned over to kiss him. He reached down and slung a finger into one of Sensei’s belt loops, and buried his other in Sensei’s hair. He knew now, for sure, that this wasn’t some kind of joke. Sensei had been genuine in the kitchen, and now Blaze to could feel it in every subtle movement.

He opened his eyes and reluctantly, slowly pulled his mouth away from Sensei’s. “The basement, I’m sorry about all of that.” He looked away for a moment, his brow furrowing with thought before he looked back to Sensei. “I really do like you.” He felt he had to say something more but he just couldn’t articulate it yet, it was too soon. “I have for a long time, since the beginning.” It was true, and Blaze felt there was no harm in letting the information out now even if it only made him more anxious.

Yes, it all seemed perfect. Almost like a dream. But it was, without a doubt, happening for real. Sensei could feel Blaze holding onto one of his belt loops as well as his hand buried in his hair. It only encouraged him more to keep on in what he was doing. It was most definitely not a joke. Not in any way shape or form. His actions and words in the kitchen had been entirely genuine just as they were now. And that wasn't going to change anytime soon. Should Blaze have need of it, Sensei didn't mind reminding him just how genuine he really was.

The kiss ended and Sensei, just as reluctantly, pulled away. When Blaze apologized about the basement, he shook his head. "I'm sorry too." He'd almost beaten him up...though that had been before the kiss. Hearing Blaze articulate that he really did like him, and for that long, brought a soft smile to his lips. "I'm glad to hear that." He paused a moment. "I can say the exact same about you, actually." And it was true, though before he hadn't wanted to admit it to himself. Now, though, it was different. Much different.

Blaze nodded at Sensei’s apology. “It’s ok, it was my fault…” he muttered. If the Free had taught him one thing it was how to better control his temper. He didn’t have such a fierce disposition before the virus- but he supposed that the virus and its surrounding circumstances had changed everyone in one way or another. However, he was now determined to find some of his old self again, some of his old happiness. Making things better, more than better, between Sensei and himself was a huge step and exactly what he wanted.

He grinned somewhat shyly as Sensei admitted to having liked him for a long time as well. It was almost sadly comical, the fact that no one would have been able to know such a thing based on the way they’d treated each other for the last three years. Three long years. Of course his desire and interest in Sensei had started out small and grown more and more over the years. In the beginning he hadn’t let himself think or feel anything about Sensei, but it became increasingly difficult to repress his feelings and thus they had mostly erupted in frustration. He wondered for a split second what his brother would think…what the rest of the tribe would think. But he didn’t want to think about that now, he wanted to make the most of this moment that he had with Sensei.

He was still laying flat on his back with Sensei leaning over him. He reached down with both of his hands and slipped them under the bottom of Sensei’s shirt so he could take it off, but he waited for Sensei to move, to show him that what he was doing was ok.

Sensei hadn't ever had exceptional temper control, though the outbreak of the virus and the support of his sister had taught him to restrain it a little. Enough so he wouldn't outright beat some one up...without justifiable cause. Still though, that little bit of a hold on his temper hadn't stopped him from fighting with Blaze all the time before. He hadn't wanted things to be that way, but it always seemed that he was being provoked. Things were going to be different now, if it was the last thing he did. Things needed to be better between him and Blaze. There was no doubting that was what he wanted.

No one would have ever been able to guess that the two had been attracted to one another, what with the way they'd fought and treated each other in the past. Three whole years of arguing and fighting. But that had been out of frustration and general tension. At first, Sensei pushed his thoughts and feelings about Blaze to the back of his mind. Time passed, however, and made that more difficult to accomplish. That in turn bloomed into frustration and frustration bloomed into anger in the times when he was provoked. Now they would have other ways to let go of that frustration that had been building for so long. Sensei didn't much care about what anyone else would think because that was the way he was. So it only made sense that he just didn't want to think about it. Honestly, he never would.

He eyes followed Blaze's hands as they slipped under the bottom hem of his shirt. What he was doing was more than okay. Sensei took hold of Blaze's wrists, guiding his hands up so that his shirt went with them. Soon enough the shirt was off and over his head. Pale skin ran now uninterrupted down over the muscles of his chest and his abs. And of course the tattoo of a red and black dragon was coiled around his upper right arm. Hopefully Blaze liked what he saw.

In the past Blaze had taken stolen glances at Sensei. He remembered one time when some of the tribe had gone down to the river for a swim. The shape of Sensei’s exposed upper body had never left his mind. He remembered the way the sun looked on his skin and the way it made his hair shine, almost with a blue hue. Now Sensei was shirtless there with him, on his bed. He took a deep breath in an effort to steady his pounding heart.

Blaze ran his hands over Sensei, exploring his perfectly shaped muscles. Last, he ran a hand down his tattoo. Blaze had always been fascinated by tattoos, which was probably from the influence of Thom, his surrogate father from the carnival who served as the tattooed man of the freak show. Blaze only had two himself, nothing really. He’d always wanted more but decent ink was next to impossible to come by anymore. He was more than impressed with the dragon on Sensei’s arm and thought that it suited him perfectly. Besides, it was super sexy wrapped around his firm muscles.

He felt a fresh wave of longing come over him and with it it felt like he’d lost all manual control of his actions. He slipped out of his own shirt and then rather forcefully pulled Sensei down onto him. He was shaking, and the feel of Sensei’s bare skin against his own was something that could only be described as divine. He pressed his lips to Sensei’s in a hungry kiss, his tongue explored freely, testingly.

It was no secret that Sensei had looked at Blaze whenever he felt that his glances went unnoticed. Most of the time this only got him looks at him with his clothes on. Not that that was a bad thing to look at. Not at all. It had only been once that he'd seen Blaze without a shirt. Some of the tribe had gone to the river to swim. Sensei, of course, had been all for it. But even in all the fun, he'd caught a glimpse of Blaze shirtless. What a view that was. He hadn't forgotten that, not at all. And right now, on Blaze's bed and without a shirt himself, there was no denying that he wanted to see him shirtless again. Not only see, but feel those muscles for himself.

He was perfectly still as Blaze ran his hands over him, feeling the way that his fingers explored his now exposed muscles. It felt sinfully good, that touch against his skin. His eyes followed the path of Blaze's fingers, seeing him run a hand down the tattoo on his arms. Everywhere he'd been touched was tingling now and making slight shivers run down his spine. Almost torture, but in the most enjoyable sense of the word. He was biting the inside of his lip a bit, feeling that lust and longing for Blaze wash back over him more and more as the seconds passed. Self control was definitely waning.

He watched Blaze slip out of his shirt, though his eyes only had a moment to take in his shirtless upper body before he was being pulled down. Sensei found the sensation of Blaze's bare skin against his own to be electrifying. It sent shots of electrical excitement down his spine yet again. Sensei kissed Blaze back, his lips equally hungry and desperate. It wasn't long before he deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding along Blaze's lower lip before exploring the other's mouth just as freely. His body pressed down against Blaze's, muscles grinding against muscles the slightest bit. His hands ran down Blaze's side, his fingers teasing along the skin.

Blaze met the weight of Sensei’s body by arching his back and pressing himself up into Sensei. It was amazing how well the shape of them seemed to fit together. This was so much better than even his best dreams. He couldn’t even begin to articulate the feel of Sensei’s weight pressing him into the bed, or the smoothness of his pale skin beneath Blaze’s hands; so he let his thoughts shut down and focused on all of the delicious sensations taking over his body.

His hands ran through Sensei’s hair and then explored his back before one of his hands slid over Sensei’s rear and came to rest on the back of his thigh. His mouth grew slack with a pleasurable groan as Sensei’s tongue slipped between his lips. His heart was pounding in his chest and he could feel his excitement hard against the inside of Sensei’s thigh.

Having Blaze's body pressed against his that way was absolutely maddening. The way their bodies fit together so well, as if they'd been shaped just for that purpose in life, was amazing. The skin to skin contact felt like sin. Very, very good sin. His dreams obviously hadn't done this justice. No...imagined rendezvous couldn't hold a candle to the feeling now that he was experiencing it for real. Words didn't do any of the current sensations justice. Not in the slightest. No simple sentence could embody how it felt with Blaze's body pressed flush up against him or with the other's lips kissing him so hungrily. His mind could never really do any of it justice, so he simply allowed himself to just...feel.

A moan passed his lips as Blaze's hands traveled down from his hair and then down his back, exploring the skin there. Was it legal for something to feel that good? Likely not. He felt Blaze's hand venturing lower as it rested on the back of his thigh. Hearing that groan made him smirk some into the kiss before his lips deviated down to the skin of Blaze's neck. He kissed all the way down his neck to his collarbone and then back up again, placing playful bites along the skin. His heart was beating more and more quickly as the moments passed, his mind absolutely reeling from all the sensations.

Well, it seemed like someone was getting rather excited. Not that Sensei wasn't getting to the exact same point by then.

It crossed his mind for a moment that he might be moving things too fast between them but the ways in which Sensei was responding to his actions told him that things were moving at good speed for both of them. After all, it wasn't like this was a first date or anything. They'd known each other a few years now, and Blaze had always had feelings for Sensei even if they had been unspoken. Somehow this all felt right, like everything had been leading up to this all along and Blaze didn't want it to stop now. Blaze realized that the sun had set and now his top-story room was only lit by moonlight. He'd been too focused on Sensei, too nervous to realize how dark it had actually gotten. He wondered if the others would come looking for them, and that perhaps they should stop. What if they were to get caught? Blaze had never been with another boy before. He didn't know what his brother would think, or the rest of the tribe for that matter. The thought scared him a little but the moment was too perfect to break. It was easy for Blaze to push these things from his mind with Sensei as a distraction.

Blaze was trembling under Sensei, and his breathing was shallow with anticipation. He pushed his hips against Sensei's, wanting more but not sure quite what to do. He had messed around with three other girls before, but this was very different. He didn't feel quite as confident with Sensei as he had with them. As Sensei kissed his neck and collar bone he felt himself relax a little more and give into the simple feeling of it all. He thought that perhaps he was overthinking things and that it would be best to just let himself go and see what happened. After all, he had already put himself out on a limb by just admitting to Sensei how he felt.

He squeezed Sensei's thigh with the hand he had resting there before sliding his fingers along the waistband of Sensei's pants. All the while he kept his mouth on Sensei's, kissing him in nervous passion. He slipped a hand in between them and unsnapped Sensei's pants.

Too fast? Not a chance. Sensei had only been thinking of things like this for...three years now? Pretty much ever since he'd laid eyes on Blaze in the waiting room in the hospital. This wasn't too fast a pace, he didn't think. Not when everything felt so right. So perfect. Things had been leading up to this the entire time, so who was he to stop it now? Somehow in their time along the sun had set and it was dark out, the only light in the room being the moonlight that filtered in through the window. It hadn't been the first thing on Sensei's mind, naturally. Not when he had Blaze shirtless and under him. He didn't care if anyone came up and found them or what other people might think. All he cared about at that moment was this perfection. Blaze really was shaping up to be the perfect distraction.

He heard Blaze's shallow breathing and felt his body trembling. Anticipation. He knew what that felt like. But bringing it out in another person was completely and totally different. Sensei pushed his hips back down against Blaze's. It briefly crossed his mind that he was far more experienced in intimacies with men than Blaze was. Perhaps it was making the other boy uncomfortable? It didn't seem like it, but seeing that Blaze was relaxing a bit was a reassurance. He continued with his kisses on the other boy's skin before kissing back up to his lips. Things would be easier, he thought, if they just went with the flow.

His lips never left Blaze's, not even when he felt the other's hand reach down and undo his pants. Interesting...he followed suit, doing the exact same thing to Blaze. But his fingers drifted lower, simply brushing over the hardness there. You could call it testing the waters. If it was too much, they could always stop.

Sensei felt so completely different than any girl he'd been with. For one thing, the shape of Sensei's body was more like his own, lacking the curves of a female and instead having well defined muscles and straighter lines. He found the similarities between Sensei's body and his own to be a new kind of sensation all together; a sensation that was at this point completely irresistable. Blaze found himself questioning why he hadn't given into his feelings for Sensei sooner. He'd been scared about what Sensei would think and what the other tribe members would think. He was beginning to seriously regret all of that fear and inaction, when action felt so much better.

He felt his breath catch in the back of his throat as his pants were undone; his mouth softened against Sensei's. When Sensei actually touched him he couldn't help but groan with the overwhelming wave of pleasurable anticipation that came over him. He looked up at Sensei, his eyes partly closed. This was how he liked to pretend the basement incident had really ended. One of his hands came to rest on the bone of Sensei's partially exposed hip, while his other hand laced itself into the hair at the back of Sensei's head and brought their lips together in another kiss.

Girls were pretty and all and Sensei was just as much into girls as the next guy, but he also couldn't deny enjoying the feel of another guy's body against his own. He rather liked that Blaze's body was so similar to his. He liked the feel of muscle against muscle. Their bodies fit so well together as it was. Better than he ever would have imagined. The feeling was addictive and entirely irresistible. Now, why hadn't he kissed Blaze sooner? Inaction had let to frustration. Action would have been so much better. There was no denying that fact. But what mattered now was that they'd both told the truth about how they felt. So all of that sexual frustration...would be a thing of the past.

Sensei heard that groan and it made him smirk some. Obviously that meant he liked it. He looked down at Blaze then, his eyes holding a bit of a mischievous glint. While Blaze's one hand came up to settle at his hip, his other hand pulled Sensei down for another kiss. Sensei kissed him deeply once more. However, he continued to touch Blaze in the way he had not moments before. Although this time he went so far as to let his fingers encircle his shaft and stroke him. It wasn't overly fast or rough, but teasing enough in its rhythm and pressure. He wanted to hear more of those pleasured sounds coming from Blaze's lips.

Blaze hadn't expected them to go this far immediately after they'd confessed feelings for each other. Hell, he'd never expected there to be any sort of confession. If he hadn't gone away for the winter then who knows how they would be treating each other now. He was happy to be back with his tribe, in Sundance, and in the warmth of Sensei's arms. They'd spent long nights on the cold road, but now he thought he might never be cold again.

Although the pleasure had caused his body to sink into a kind of otherworldly relaxation, his heart was pounding hard in his chest and his blood was racing. Sensei's mouth was heavenly against his own. Their kisses didn't have that awkward feeling that first kisses often did, and Blaze found it was easy to fall into a sort of rhythm of teasing and passionate caresses with him.

He was a little startled when Sensei's touch became more direct, but it had been just what he was wanting. A surge of what felt like warm electricity trickled from the base of his pelvis, up his stomach and into his fluttering heart. Sensei's rhythm was just right and he felt his lower back involuntarily arch off the bed a little with each stroke from Sensei's hand.

Blaze slid his left hand from Sensei's hip and trailed along his muscled stomach with the back of his fingers before venturing lower into his undone pants. He looked up at Sensei with a lust veiled gaze and slightly parted lips that sighed with sound of pure pleasure with every stroke from Sensei's hand. His own shaking hand found Sensei's warm erection and he matched every move that Sensei made on him.

His expectations hadn't been this high for them considering that they'd just confessed how they felt about each other shortly before. But he couldn't deny that he was enjoying it. He was more than glad to be able to have Blaze in his arms now, like he'd imagined so many times in the past. He couldn't get enough of the feeling of such...togetherness. Something that he'd wanted for so long, but never had.

His heartbeat was sounding in his ears as his pulse raced, but Sensei didn't care. He was far too caught up in the feel of Blaze's kisses and the feeling of his body against his. Awkward first kisses? Not with them. No, the two of them had already started into a rhythm that didn't seem to be breaking. Perhaps when you wanted something so much, that it would be right the very first time you experienced it.

Sensei couldn't help but make his touch more direct. He just wanted to make Blaze feel good. To bring him pleasure. He kept on in his stroking, keeping that rhythm as well and noting the way that Blaze's back arched up off the bed the way it did. That meant that his actions were evoking the right sort of effects and pleasures in the other boy.

Sensei felt Blaze's hand slip down from his hip and trail across his stomach. But what he wasn't quite expecting was for his fingers to venture any lower. He looked down at Blaze, the same lust in his eyes as he listened to those sighs of pleasure coming from those lips. Sensei's eyes closed when Blaze's hand found his erection. A groan passed his lips as Blaze began to stroke him. It definitely wasn't legal for something to feel that good.
