Background: Wonbin grew up on the north west coast, third eldest among seven children. Being a middle child Wonbin didn’t have the same pressure on him to excel that his older brother, Changmin and sister did, focusing his attention of sports and other physical activities more. He was a cheerful child, looking up to his siblings and trying to follow in their footsteps by looking after the younger siblings. Even with his brother’s sudden attitude change Wonbin still admired his brother, giving him his space while still trying to emulate him.
After Changmin ran away when Wonbin was only 12 everything sort of just went downhill. Their mother grew sullen and paranoid, accusing her husband and sometimes the other kids of driving her eldest away. As the next oldest boy Wonbin bore most of the brunt of her accusations, trying to live up to his brothers footsteps and slowly growing more bitter as his mother continued to point blame at him, asking why he was never as smart as his brother, why he was never as good and when he was going to leave as well. His only reprieve was his older sister who always reminded him that it wasn’t his fault and to try and not let the words change him.
As Wonbin grew older and slowly angrier he started spending nights away from his home to escape from everything for just a while. It was on one of these nights when he was particularly pissed off that his anger focused into one blinding hot moment that he first changed. He didn’t remember much from that night but when he woke up the clearing he was in was destroyed, clawed up by something. It wasn’t until a few more trips that he realized it was him doing it and he became more aware of his ‘other self’. It was a few months before he retained full control of himself and learned what he became those missing nights. While he was freaked out at first he accepted it rather quickly, seeing it as a gift bestowed upon him instead of a curse.
It wasn’t until Wonbin was 15 when a plain white envelope was delivered to their house with no return address, filled with money and a note that said ‘Sorry’. It took a few more of these envelopes before the family realized who was sending them, the money ranging from a few dollars to several hundred each time and their mother became hopeful that this was a sign that her eldest son might return to her soon. After several more months and still nothing more then the envelopes Wonbin grew tired of them and told his mother he’d find Changmin himself, leaving the house at 16 though he had no clue where to look.
He traveled all over, looking for any hints as to where his brother might’ve been, often losing hope after a few months before finding someone who actually had met him and was pointed in the direction he was supposedly traveling. It wasn’t until Wonbin was 18 that he found his brother by a total fluke, randomly searching his name one day and finding him on a scrap yards home page as employee of the month. It came as a total surprise after months of chasing after the smallest hints that he’d appear so suddenly and easily and Wonbin quickly traveled to New York, sending a letter home to tell the family he may of found Changmin.
At 18 Wonbin has a fair attitude though thanks to his sister he’s still fairly polite when he wants to be. He makes snap decisions about everything, preferring to act instead of plan and dislikes people who get in his way. He’s determined to make his brother return home and is willing to do anything he can to get him to listen. He hasn’t accounted for potential friendships and the like though, remembering his brother as a quiet, antisocial person who avoided people instead of getting close to them, caring for no one but his family. Wonbin is almost the same height as Changmin and just as muscular though his are from martial arts training and his hair is almost as long, giving them quite similar physical appearances.
With a rather unique appearance; large muscular body, vast wings and a long reptilian tail Wonbin has kept himself well hidden while shifted, knowing he’d probably be shot on sight by some paranoid person. While he can shift at anytime of day his other form is very susceptible to sunlight, often getting extreme sunburn within a few minutes of being exposed. As such he often only turns at night or cloudy days with lots of cover. Once he shifts he has to stay in his other form for at least an hour before he can build up enough energy to turn back. While he is able to fly Wonbin is actually scared of heights, the few times he’s flown have never been far from the ground and he often walks or runs instead. Any injuries he obtains as a human heals once he shifts but any injuries acquired as a gargoyle heal as slowly as regular human injuries, never healing no matter how many times he shifts, making him actually more vulnerable in his gargoyle form.
Preferred RP Style: Paragraph over IJ preferred.
Anything Else: I could've sworn that was shorter @.@;; And I am weak to the tall people D:
