Hawkins Mental { Brian & Jimmy }
After reading the comment from Jimmy on his journal, Brian grinned a bit to himself. He chewed his bottom lip as he debated whether or not to actually go over to Jimmy's or tell him to come over to his own room. He decided that Jimmy had said to come see him, which meant that he trusted him not to turn the room upside down like Syn had the last time he'd been there. That was a bracing, comforting thought for sure. It seemed Jimmy didn't hate him for what his alter did, and was still gloating over, for the record. Brian couldn't tell if Syn was upset because it hadn't pushed Jimmy away or if he just didn't care, but he had his bets on the second. Syn had started caring less and less about things, hence why he was out almost all the time. It seemed he'd pretty much just given up. All the bruises and marks except for the bite mark on his collarbone had healed, but that one was in the process, scarring over and turning a strange pink against his unnaturally pale skin as it pushed up the scab. He'd been picking at it, just because it was one of his mindless things but he hadn't ripped it off yet.

It'd been a few days since he'd actually taken his hoodie off completely and it had just been roughly pulled on and left unzipped and exposing his chest, so he just zipped it up and shoved his hands in his pockets after running his fingers through his hair. He forced himself to stop chewing on his lip after a second and slipped out of his room. He'd recently woken up so he hadn't even bothered turning on his computer. He'd rather talk to someone in person than over the internet anyway, and he just hoped he wasn't going to wake Jimmy up. Then again, it was getting toward noon so maybe he'd get lucky and not wake his friend up.

He stepped out of his room for the first time in probably a week, glancing around idly before licking his lips and making his way through the halls to Jimmy's room. Once he got there through the winding corridors, he pulled one hand out of his pockets, knocking softly but firmly because he didn't hesitate - it wasn't Syn's pseudo-cop knock, that was for sure, though - and leaning against the door frame. He only really felt comfortable walking into Pete's room without knocking first. Maybe that'd change eventually, but for now, he waited, forcing himself to stop chewing on his lip, damn it.

Jimmy had had a day or so to recover from being in isolation for so long, and thanks to Mick and Bert, he wasn't that bad off. Now that he finally understood and comprehended what had happened with him and Mick and accepted it, he was a lot more relaxed than he had been before. Mick was relieved, mostly because that probably meant that Jimmy wasn't going to try to kill him again any time soon.

Jimmy was currently sitting on his bed playing Tetris. He'd tried and tried in isolation to play the game to calm his mind but it hadn't worked. It seemed his obsessive-compulsiveness had been pushed to the side to be replaced by a psychological meltdown where order wasn't necessary. Now that he had control over himself again, Tetris was certainly doing it's job in keeping him sane.

He heard the knock on the door and paused his game to look up to it through the hair that'd fallen in his face when he sat up from sleeping. He hadn't been awake for very long and hadn't actually gotten out of bed yet, so he was still sitting in his pajama pants with no shirt on. He'd normally be wearing a shirt, but he'd gotten quite comfortable with Bert as of lately and found it was okay to not wear one, so he took the opportunity any time he got the chance. He wasn't sure who would be at the door, but he didn't really want to get up or get dressed either, so he just simply called a 'come in' from the bed.

when he heard the 'come in', Brian took a deep breath and shut his eyes before grabbing the door handle and pushing it open. Despite his lack of hesitation, he was nervous about coming to see Jimmy again, or maybe it was seeing anyone but Pete - though by all rights he almost felt like he should have been nervous to see Pete too because of Bliss. But he didn't feel nervous about it at all. Jimmy, on the other hand - he still felt horrible about what he'd let Syn do to the other man so it was natural for him to feel a little uneasy.

He bit his lip again as he slipped inside before almost physically forcing himself to let go of his bottom lip, his sigh lost in the sound of the door snapping shut behind him. "Hey," he said a little quietly as he turned, smiling slightly as he saw hat Jimmy was sitting on his bed playing Tetris. He hoped he hadn't interrupted anything. He didn't really notice that Jimmy wasn't wearing a shirt, either, but it was things like that which Syn noticed and he didn't. He didn't think it was important, he supposed. He himself was dressed only in the hoodie and a pair of ripped blue jeans that he'd almost worn through.

The instant that Jimmy realized it was Brian coming in through the door, he smiled and closed his laptop to put it onto his night stand, sliding up from the bed. He was admittedly a little nervous about seeing him again considering what had happened the last time, but he felt pretty confident that he could prove to Brian that he wasn't upset with him. Syn, yeah, he was still a bit upset with him, but he knew the guy didn't care, so there was no point in being mad at all when it came down to it.

"Hey Brian," Jimmy greeted as he started walking over to him, taking even and precise steps as he stopped half-way, thinking maybe Brian was going to meet him half-way. "How're you?" He asked, not really sure if the question was a good one to be asking in a place like this, but he hadn't spoken to Brian in so long he really wanted to know.

Brian kind of already knew that Jimmy wasn't mad at him for what Syn had done because he supposed if the other man had been upset with him, he wouldn't have said to come and see him, and he wouldn't have said that he missed him. Right? He just hoped his logic wasn't naive and skewed, because he'd had that happen to him before - or maybe it was just Syn trying to convince him that he was ignorant and stupid. He never knew which one it was, but he just hoped Jimmy didn't do it too.

He brushed a lock of hair off his face and took the steps that did indeed meet Jimmy halfway, and he grinned a little and shrugged, licking his lips again. "I've been okay, I guess. Better now than before," he admitted, using his left middle finger to brush his hair out of his face again because when he'd nodded it'd fallen in his face. He tucked it behind his ear before he asked, "How're you?"

"That's good," Jimmy said, letting his hands clasp behind his back as he rocked back on his heels, smiling as his head tilted to his friend. "Much better. Being in isolation so long really messed me up, but Mick and Bert helped and I'm okay now." He told him, licking over his bottom lip before he rocked back to stand upright again. "Do you wanna sit down, or .. do you want to get something to eat, maybe?"

Seeing the grin from Brian helped him realize that maybe Syn wouldn't do anything for now. Brian seemed like he was in control for the most part, and he was happy to see Jimmy .. besides, he wouldn't have come over if he didn't want to see him, right? He just had to keep on his toes incase Syn came back out, but for the moment, he was fairly content with the way things were.

Brian gave a small smile and shoved his hands back into the pockets of his hoodie, tapping the toes of his sneakers as he nodded. "I guess it's different for me 'cause I like being in isolation sometimes," he said with a slight shrug. It gave him time to think, to keep control over his alter, and it seemed it made Syn get bored with whatever he was doing and leave him alone. It'd worked well so far but he wasn't sure how it'd go over once he started being around people again. He was paying a little attention to the other 'entity' in his mind, but it seemed Syn was being quiet and amusing himself with... something, other things than tormenting people Brian considered friends.

"Yeah, we could go get something to eat. I don't think I've eaten much of anything for like, a week," he mused with a chuckle. Some of his mannerisms were like Syn's, like the way his voice wasn't as soft and passive anymore and the way he was standing straighter and not so slouched, but his eyes were still lighter and not as closed off and cold. Brian was still curious about Mick, but he'd kept himself quiet on that subject.
