Marie watched him, both relieved for the lack of a crowd and upset at the loss of the safety and numbers. She was relieved though that he didn't make a point of heading for her first and instead put reasonable space between them. As he spoke she found an empty cup, rinsed it and filled it with water from the tap before handing it to him. "It'll help with how you're feeling. And how you'll feel tomorrow." Really it was just time that would work the alcohol out of his system, but the water would make it flush a little easier and would relieve any impending hangover he might face in the morning.
