"From working on computers?" Christien asked with raised eyebrows. "It's a great field to get into. Maman and Papa know how much of a genius I am when it comes to technology." He grinned ear-to-ear and continued his counting. Then, once it was all counted, he stuffed it in his pocket.
"Maman and Papa don't give a crap about their son anymore," Christien's voice was tinted with a bitterness. He was really beginning to hate having to live here. "They'd rather stick their children in a freaking zoo. Might as well make the most of it."
