(CHRIS knocks on CADYN's apartment door. She's laying on the couch watching the news. After she hears the knock, she closes her eyes briefly. Upon opening them again, she shakes her head and speaks.)
CADYN: It's open!
(Says quietly, almost inaudibly.)
CADYN: Not that it would have stopped you anyway.
(CHRIS opens the door and enters, closing it behind him.)
CHRIS: I don't know about you, but a locked door and an unanswered knock means no one's home.
CADYN: Yeah, except when it's me and then it just means I'm ignoring you.
CHRIS: And I don't know why you'd want to do a crazy thing like that.
(CHRIS goes to the end of CADYN's couch and picks up her legs. He sits down on the couch and puts her legs over his lap.)
CHRIS: You look comfy.
CADYN: I was... and then you showed up. To what do I owe this pleasure, Christopher?
CHRIS: I was in the neighborhood and figured I'd stop in.
CADYN: Really? That's a lame answer, Chris.
CHRIS: If you want a legitimate reason for me being here then you'll have to give me a minute to think on that.
(CADYN smirks and looks at her watch.)
CADYN: One minute... and counting. Go!
(CHRIS looks at her like she's crazy and CADYN looks at him expectantly.)
CHRIS: Well... uhm... because... I wanted to... see your beautiful smiling face?
(CADYN laughs and smiles lightly.)
CADYN: I'll take that answer. Besides, I've got something to tell you.
CHRIS: Really? And what's that?
CADYN: Devon knows.
CHRIS: Devon knows? Knows what?
CADYN: Everything. That he's a witch. That I'm his whitelighter. That demons what him dead.
CHRIS: How'd he find out?
CADYN: I told him. I didn't have much of a choice/
CHRIS: Am I supposed to be following any of this?
CADYN: Devon had a game last night. I went and was talking to him, making sure he was alright, and he was attacked again. I got him out of there and had to explain it. There was no way around it.
CHRIS: You could have used a memory charm.
(CADYN shrugged lightly.)
CADYN: I think he's safer now that he knows to be honest. At least he knows I'll be there when he calls.
CHRIS: I guess you're right. Have you told Wyatt?
CADYN: No, I haven't talked to anyone but you today. I haven't even seen Dylan. You seen her?
CHRIS: No, I haven't. I'm going to go tell Wyatt about this. He'll want to know.
(CHRIS pats her legs and moves them, getting up.)
CHRIS: Wanna come with me?
(CADYN thinks for a moment and then shakes her head.)
CADYN: No thanks. I think I'm going to try and go find Dylan. I want her opinion on something.
(CHRIS shrugs and puts his hands in his pockets.)
CHRIS: Alright. Guess I'll see you around then.
(CADYN nods and smiles at him.)
CADYN: Looking forward to it.
(CHRIS smiles and orbs out. CADYN gets up from the couch and goes into the kitchen. Rummaging through a drawer she pulls out a map of San Francisco and lays it on the table. She pulls a necklace off from around her neck, a scrying crystal attached to the end. Leaning over the map she begins to swing the crystal over it.)
CADYN: Alright Dylan, where are you?
(She continues to scry until the crystal lands on the map near the ocean.)
CADYN: The beach. I should have known.
(Putting the crystal back over her head she orbs out.)
