Have I Told You Lately [tag: Hybris]

[info]bathesinblood
The crackling in the fireplace was common this time of year, though she didn't really frequent her Bucharest home during the winter months. However, given the circumstances, the company she had requested the presence of and the topic of which Enyo wanted to discuss were not appropriate for Olympus at all. Not if she wanted to keep this under wraps and try to instigate a war between pantheons anyway. Which she most definitely did.

Enyo just hoped Hybris was willing to leave her pet for a time and come gloat about him. Well, and Enyo was hoping she could get something out of Hybris that she could use to taunt the Norse with a bit. Like a lock of hair, a bit of clothing... he was a poet, right? Maybe an audio recording of him singing a dirge while one of them played with him, that was something that could be easily sent anonymously to Asgard. Maybe Bragi would even cry. If not voluntarily, Enyo would be happy to make him cry. )

Static Clings (Tag Hybris)

[info]lingobard
Bragi saw dots first. Millions of them. All whites and grays swirling right in front of his eyes. They were the only light in the room. The sound woke him up all the way. It sounded like a bad rainstorm, but unnatural. Wrong. It was noise, and Bragi couldn't figure out a way to make it stop being noise. Bragi couldn't tell if the throbbing pain in the back of this head came from the noise, or if the noise came from the throbbing. He wanted to close his eyes again, except he couldn't because of the dots, the noise, and his head.

The dots looked like a blizzard. )

Hybris in the Kitchen with a Candlestick (Bragi)

[info]petulantia
Hybris wasn't quite sure what had drawn her to the little corner of Greenwich Village. Possible memories of how things used to be back in the day when there were poets in every coffee house and naturally some herbal soothers available to everyone within. Those were some wonderful times, and beautiful art was born in her name. Really, she could make an argument that no one was more arrogant than an artist. As arrogance herself, she could tell you. The hipsters were okay, but they didn't have the same...panache. They were all far too laid back, not that she could begrudge them. They obviously appreciated Koros more than her.

It was enough to make a mother proud. )

A Mother's Love (Eris)

[info]petulantia
Hybris was having a fine day. The sun was shining, birds were singing, although that part was actually kind of annoying. Seagulls really didn't make very attractive noises. The repetitive cawing was just horrific now that she thought about it. That's when she slipped the buds of her ipod into her ears to drown that out. The sun was still good though, warming her skin, as was the cool drink in her hand. The tall strawberry daiquiri was so tasty. She could swear she'd never had one better. Naturally, her beauty had spurned the bartender to do a better job. )
