“Come and keep me company while I struggle to stay awake,” she grinned and since she was never shy or bothered by any physical displays or touch, pressed up on tip-toe in order to buss a quick kiss on his lips. Ninkasi wasn't worried about making the full distance, she was confident enough at this point that he'd make up for it. “All the coffee is doing now is filling my stomach with acid and that gut-rot is pretty much the worst.”
She tipped her head then, encouraging him to follow, and headed back toward the office. Or tried to... before Carley tried to stop her. Kasi held up a finger, “no, I have not heard from Thor, yet. But they are fine. Stop fretting. When I start to fret, then you fret.” Shaking her head, she waved a bit -the girl's fretting was grating a bit at this point. Honestly, Ninkasi would not have given her kids to someone untrustworthy with them.
“Oh, and you missed that excitement,” she sighed, plopping on the edge of her desk instead of the chair once she got in the office. Setting her cup aside, but Twizzler still in hand, she continued, “Carley is freaking out because I gave Thor her kids for the day. Like he would let any harm come to them. Please.” The tone of her voice made it clear that exhaustion was making her upbeat patience fade a bit.
