Hiding In Plain Sight (tag: Hermod)
Bast carefully turned herself over in her beach lounge, luxuriating in the feel of the warm sunshine on her bare skin. Nearby, the crystal aqua waters of Jamaica shimmered in the balmy heat. The temperate weather was only one of the things that had drawn her to Negril, but it was a benefit she enjoyed enthusiastically.
Truthfully, what made her come here had been the resort that was located near the bay. Hedonism II – though there had never actually been a Hedonism I, so she didn't quite understand the naming convention – was more than just a hotel and nude beach. Those she could find any old place. What made Hedonism II stand out was it's wink-wink-nudge-nudge attitude towards sex. Most nudist colonies, beaches and camps had a behind-closed-doors policy when it came to grunty fun times; Hedonism II hosted swinger conventions, actively lured those in the lifestyle, and fully encouraged consensual sex on it's nude beach. There was also a “prude” beach, and a strip of land between where the clothed and unclothed mingled, but thus far, Bast had stuck to the nude side.
And not had sex.
Not at all.
Didn't even have the inclination.
Which was actually starting to irritate her because it had a lot to do with why she'd come here. She wanted to get back to herself, to being the person she was before Hermod had shown up in her life, to return to her previous lifestyle. But things were not working out the way she wanted them to. Just like the fiasco with Ninkasi in the hot tub, she couldn't seem to stir any interest because none of her current available sex partners were him. This really had to stop.
It did, didn't it? It had to stop. Somehow, this would fade, wouldn’t it? Because Bast didn't think she could last to the end of eternity with no sexual activity beyond masturbating. While she thought about him. That was just too pathetic to even contemplate. It was rather pathetic now, let alone having to do it for the rest of her life. It would just take time, she kept telling herself.
Just like she kept telling herself to stop thinking about him. Yet here she was, laying face down with the sun kissing her back, thinking of Hermod. Bast sighed heavily, and wondered if she had enough motivation to get up and wander into the warm, clear water that was almost as blue as his eyes.
