Clever answer from a clever boy. The problem, Hera realized, was the Zelos had been on Olympus so long he'd learned how to culture his speech to obfuscate the true depth of his opinion. He'd learned, in a way, the "corporate speak" of his "office." The only option, really, was honesty.
"I wasn't aware that Kratos had an interest in any girl in particular," Hera replied. "But if he has a new girlfriend, then my concern is that she is worthy of him. He is, after all, in a position of some importance. And he is not quite as experienced as you are, Zelos. I would hate to see someone use his sweet nature against him."
At this point, she laid her hand on Zelos' arm to be certain she had his attention. "While you are closer to Zeus, and your loyalty is to him, you and your siblings have been on Olympus for a long time now. I am fond of you. I do not wish to see those I care for taken advantage of, and I will not stand for those in my household to be abused. Bluntly, I am worried for your brother, Zelos."
She tightened her fingers, not in a reassuring squeeze, but in a firm grip. Leaning closer, her voice firm, she told him, "I admire fealty, and expect yours to be with your brother. But I will get to the bottom of this. And you are going to help me."
