As mentioned in my intro post which was like two weeks ago something MUSTMUST happen in RL to sidetrack you from the delicious new RP which dances around in front of you. This would be my birthday and a god damn throat infection which crippled me beyond belief.

I'm very, very sorry for not passing on word of the infection and the lack of around-ness. I'm currently getting back on my feet with both RL and RP. Once again sorry and thanks for your patience.

Hi, everybody! Sheena here (after many extensions and pleadings of Please Don't Kill Me), with my first character. Because, really, who ever stops after just one?

This is Angela Templer, yet another American living in London. She lives at a local inn in Islington and works at the pub downstairs, which is a far cry from her former job. In what feels like her past life, Angela was a nun (well, really, a religious sister, but nun is close enough. If you're really interested in the difference, ask and I will explain!) from the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, and in addition to her daily life of prayers, she ministered to the ill and assisted the doctors and nurses at one of the many hospitals the Sisters run. She would have been happy to stay in that life, but, life has a way of ruining even the best laid plans. Her mother was a Watcher-Blood and came from a long line of magic users and demon summoners that had the tendency to use their abilities for personal gain and revenge. They brokered a deal with a demon, which Angela's mother found a way out of, royally pissing off said demon. Many years later, he decided to exact his revenge by killing her mother and tempting Angela into suicide. She died, saw the bright light, and came back with a connection to the ether. After hooking up with a mystic and a pair of hunters, she's become skilled in using magic herself and in demon hunting. She followed her demon to London and has been searching ever since.

Ohoho, Rian here with a new character. One day, I might actually stop making them.

This here is Livia Ibanescu, the game's first ~vampire~. Don't worry, though: she won't be running around in PVC, biting people willy nilly and brandishing a sword or some such nonsense. Livia's kind of a hedonist, so most of her time is spent lolling around her posh London flat with Lucy (fiduciary), selling hunters/demons/angels/Fallen who come their way whatever she can get her hands on, and writing pseudo-Gothic novels under a pseudonym. She's pretty full of herself, but in a quiet sort of way; just don't tell her she's wrong.

ALSO: A couple decades ago, she got her hand on an old European amulet that basically lets the wearer turn into a big old wolf (with training; oh, those were a few interesting years in the beginning), which is the only way she can go out in the sunlight. She doesn't use it much, since the lingering bloodlust afterwards is kind of a pain in the ass, but yeah. SHE'S A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE.

Hey guys! Just a few things to cover here, and then you can go ahead and get back to gaming.

Firstly, we want to thank you all for a great opening! These past couple weeks have been fantastic, even if technical difficulties have made modding a little difficult on our end (o cruel internet, I do not appreciate these shenanigans). Things are chugging right along, and we definitely have you guys to thank for all of that.

Secondly, we know there've been some concerns over the plot recently. We sent out an email at the beginning of the game, but just to reiterate: demonic activity is on the rise. Predominately in London, if only because that's where most characters are, but feel free to have it occur anywhere else. Essentially, due to unknown reasons and sources (ohoho), there's been something of an explosion of demonic activity around the world lately. Possessions, temptations, unexplained mishaps -- anything you can think of, it's likely happening somewhere. This is kind of broad, yes, but we were hoping it would give you all more free rein to do as you would: general occurences, shenaniganery, or full on demon attacks -- go for it. You can have your characters directly involved, or just watching, or maybe sucked in against their will; who knows? That's the plot for right now while everyone settles into things, so run with it. :D

Lastly, a small modly note: we just cleaned out the holds list, so if you had an old and/or expired hold, it's likely been deleted. Please, please make sure to get your apps in or ask for extensions! And remember, after two extensions, we do have to put the PB/name up for grabs. Also! If you guys could check the contact list and friend updater and let us know if we missed/misspelled anything, that would be much appreciated.

Just a heads up -- tomorrow at the crack of dawn (Saturday), I'm taking off on a two week vacation (due back the 22nd of August). So, this post is like over week due and I am very, very sorry! Also I'm Steph! and probably going to be annoyingly absent until wednesday, if not a little after. Sorrysorry! My birthday on monday sees me getting a new PC - in numerous amounts of boxes so I'm going to have to put it together and well...yes, we'll see how well that goes won't we? Anyway. 20 ( 2 more sleeps! ), ridiculously childish as you shall see, bit of a geek ( films, comic and bookwise ), british and that is about it. :D

I bring Chantinelle or Ellie from the Hellblazer verse. She's prettiful and oh so confusing so love her. Basically -- Succubus who until recently did very little other than swanning around and looking pretty. Then she met Tali, an Angel who she decided to seduce because seriously, what better way to get ahead in the seduction game then getting horizontal with an Angel? The surprising thing is that, well she ended up falling in love. Stupid, stupid Ellie. To make matters considerably worse she then found herself with a bun in her oven. Lovely, lovely. Ellie and Tali then went to Mr. Constantine for help to keep Hell from killing them all. It was in fact heaven which came knocking on their door. Tali was killed and Ellie's child was well...there were screams and lotsa blood and it is a miracle that Ellie is alive. Now she's an Escort (high end? Probably not so much :D skanky whore much ) around London, living in a shitty broken down house she's taken over and uh, keeping her head down mainly.

heeey. i'm alice, and i'm pretty sure i know most of you -- but if not, i'm a nineteen year old uni student in sydney, studying psychology and government. and i'm on aim at "ally indicates", and my cdj is ~candydarling!

i have one character (so far :|||), and she's an angel, a failtastic guardian angel to be precise. yeah, gone are the days when they would lead their charges towards might and right, she simply likes to get them popular through cigarettes, alcohol, and teaching them not to be pussy bitches. safe to say, she's pretty much known as the go-to guardian for potential problem children: the poor, kids with druggie parents, kids who are just generally little shites, she loves drinking and cigarettes, and not getting lightning'd by god. SO YEAH, SHE IS AN EPIC FAIL. but god keeps her on because although she hates to be reminded of it, her heart is in the right place, and she'll attempt to kick your ass if you interfere in her charges and former charges' lives.

oh, as a side note, appearance wise i haven't decided on a main adult pb for her (BECAUSE I FAIL :|) but she generally looks like a sick joke's version of angelic, either in child or adult form. heaven's version of the Human Identities' office has it out for her and find it hilarious to make her come back to earth all blond haired, hallmark card looking, and blue sparkling eyed.

I said I'd be back! Zoe here bringing in my second character, who can actually communicate on the Ether and will probably do so at great lengths.

This is Annika Stewart-Murray, also known as ~Lady Strange~ because she's second in line for the Strange Barony, should her mother and brother kick the bucket. Young Ian Stewart-Murray (servo) is her younger brother, only he's ditched all his responsibilities to go live his life or something completely ridiculous like that in London, leaving his sister to take the heavy mantle of the family business -- namely, demonology and maintaining the family's massive library on the topic. Which she loves. Don't let that cheeky grin fool you: she's absolutely no fun most of the time, and horribly aggressive in the way where she tends to assume everyone is actually attacking her somehow, even when they're offering roses and kisses. She has no special powers (Watcherblood runs in the family, but missed her) besides the things that she could do if she actually used her book knowledge for evil -- which they don't, of course, because the family is neutral! Really! She swears! Annika operates out of a big beautiful castle up in Scotland for the most part, and the family library is open to pretty much anyone who walks in the door and pays for her help. You wanna know about it? She can probably get you an answer.

She's not terribly fond of angels, even fallen, but demons of any sort are likely to have at least heard of the family (they're kind of a joke in Hell) and hunters may need/have needed information from her in the past. Contacts, questions, backstory, awesome ideas? Hit me!

Please ~pretend~ I am posting with angelicwhore, as I totally failed to remember to add her to the comms until right this second. But I'd thought I'd introduce her anyway while I stay up way past my bed time.

ANYWAY. angelicwhore goes by the name Vivian Leigh Rossiter, once known as the succubus Naamah and who was originally (before The Fall) an angel of prostitution. Why God needed angels for that, IDK. ANYWAY. Naamah used to hang out with Lilith a fair bit and totally seduced Adam while they were ~married~, which is part of the reason why she fell the first time. Second time was just for kicks and about fifty years ago, she doesn't actually follow orders well, kthnxbai.

She is... pretty much a whore. :D Why give up a good thing just because you're stuck on the mortal plane? She almost never has sex just for the pleasure of it, it's so much better when there's something in it for her. Not necessarily money, but she's not going to say no to that. Just something that ~interests~ her. She's in Chicago at the moment, so once I've got her sorted she will be bugging everyone in that part of the world.

Hello all! -wave- Sorry to do this so soon but one of my sisters just had a baby boy on the 28th (awwww, yaaaay.) So I am semi-hiatusing. I need time to get snugs,visit and help prepare her house for their return. She also has three older boys so while she's gone (as well as when she's back) she'll need a lot of help from my family!

I think it will only last a few days to maybe a week at the most as she gets settled into things again, plus a chance to be around baby love! :D I can't miss it. I just figured I'd give a heads up!

OMG HAI SO EXCITED. Shay with character numero dos, Miss Emalia Sepp. Ema is the fallen demon Eligos, and she "fell" about a hundred years or so. As demons go, she was pretty nondescript (just really good at finding things) but one of her ~abilities~ was to attract the attention of important people for no reason. She was never really that bright, so when she fell in love with an angel and they both got kicked out of their respective homes, Lucifer was like "ROFFLECOPTERS JOKE'S ON YOU" and stuck her in the body of a nineteen year old girl. Who is from Montenegro and is cursed against learning anything past basic, broken English.

Basically, Ema is a personal chef to Nicholas Cavendish-Bell, and generally specializes in cooking for anyone ever. If they ask, she will cook (or bake, more particularly.) She is kind of a big swimming pool of crack, and totally a sweetheart, but also very easily manipulated. Ema is quite skilled with the ether, actually, but she chooses to let absolutely everything through anyways because she figures people are genuinely interested or else they would block it all out (and many do.)

OHOHO HELLO AGAIN. Sorry I ~disappeared~, my comrades; an old friend paid for me to come visit, SO I DID. But I am BACK, and...in black? Idk, it's early.

ANYWAY: I bring you fresh meat. I'm still converting her profile over from my ~wiki~ (because yes, I have one), but this here is Evelyn Spencer, also known as Evelyn Olivia Rose Spencer, because those English nobles always have like 14 names. Evelyn's related to the Spencer and Cromwell lines, and should anything happen to her nieces and nephews, she'll become a baroness; she's also related to the Princes of England, but that's nothing special, since like 50 other people are also. Go incest in the upper classes! ANYWAY, Evelyn comes from a line of hunters, though it's been a pretty quiet art until her parents died about 27 years ago (a car bomb, though she totally thinks it was a demon, OHOHO). She's got Watcher blood, and essentially acts as a sort of ethereal Cerebro: she can sense any sort of angelic/demonic activity within a given parameter, and the closer the activity is, the more accurate read she gets on the actual identity of the culprit. WHICH IS PRETTY USEFUL WHEN LOOKING UP SPELLS, LET ME TELL YOU. She's currently housing Leo, Prudence, and Chris at her giant manor, Rousham House, because they are cheap bastards and enjoy mooching on her alcohol. She's a little too serious for her own good, sort of fussy in a motherly way, and enjoys eing sarcastic and patronizing whenever possible. She may or may not have a butler and a Batcave, though his name is Geoffrey instead of Alfred, and the Batcave is really more of a series of secret passageways in and under the house.

Haaay gurls haaaay (and Codies ♥). I'm Shay, eighteen, living in Maryland, etc. I umm drink lots of tea, am really lazy, and am a geek re: movies/music/old cartoons. I spent inordinate amounts of money on perfume oils and film for my camera, lololol, and I don't have a job (see: lazy.) Blah blah blah enough about me.

This is Leo Bates and he's my only character atm but I have one pending and another in the works for ~later on.~ Leo is thirty-five and lives in England. He's a Watcher-blood with the power of invincibility -- of his charges, that is. Basically, Leo is a big fat failure, because his ability lets him be pretty vulnerable, but if you're under his "protection," you get a pretty good degree if invincibility. Great, yeah? Leo grew up in Vermont, like the very very northern part of Vermont in the middle of nowhere, and when he was a little boy he witnessed a rape-murder-suicide in someone's back yard. It kind of fucked him up, so he was on like 45897394 medications as a child and teenager, and then he moved to New Orleans and became a firefighter. Umm he was doing minor hunting and stuff in his early twenties and he pissed off a bunch of demons by killing their ~leader~, so when he was 27 and in Vermont taking care of mommy, the demons killed his wife and three children. Since then, he's been a mopy bastard, and now he lives in England and hunts demons with his partner in crime, who is forthcoming (she's like the female Batman, fo srs.)

OH and Leo has been on the ether since he was eleven, but he thought he was just schizophrenic until he was fifteen, so for those four or so years he had NO control over it and everything he thought was pretty much broadcast. Uhh yeah. Anyways I would loooove plot with those of you I don't know yet and everything. I'm syllable silent on AIM if you need anything! :>

Intro time! I kept putting it off but... w/e, I will stop that now.

I'm Nat (aka missbossyboots/dazzlingsongbird) and I currently have two characters to present! 2 second bio about me - I live in Melbourne, Australia, I play far too many characters, I spend all day at work online, I'm slowly finishing an Arts degree, majoring in History. My characters are far more interesting, I'm promising.

This journal belongs to Ian Stewart-Murray, 17th Baron Strange. I almost WISH Zo and I had made that up, but we didn't. The most important thing about him is probably his older sister, half the shit he does is designed to piss her off. ANYWAY. The family is actually from Scotland (but they're English peers? Go figure. English peerage does not make sense), but Ian is in London, attending university there (which is his family does not approve of). He's from a family that have maintained a library of information on demon-summoning (which they Do Not Use Themselves, Really), and he has pretty much refused to continue the family business like he was supposed to. He wants a normal life (well, as normal as you get when you want to be a politician). He's also a Watcherblood, his power being being able to turn invisible. HOWEVER. When he's invisible he can be seen by full blood angels/demons/anyone who can see them, and can see them in return. If he'd stayed in the family business, it would be totally useful, right? Right. His parents thought so too. OTHER THAN THAT - uh, he pretty much does not like anything supernaturally related, he'd be much happier if everyone just stopped fucking around with that stuff and the angels and demons just left humanity alone. On a more personal level, he is a charming little shit, who spends a lot of his time flirting with girls and drinking with the guys. He has a bad habit of drunk dialling his sister on the Ether, he just loves her that much. I'M GOING TO STOP RAMBLING ABOUT HIM NOW, OKAY?

My second character (whipoffire) is Kushiel, Angel of Punishment. (Yes, I've read the books. :D) He is pretty much a bastard who spends all his time in hell, making the sinners pay for their crimes. He neither loves or hates his job, he just does it because that's what he's supposed to do. He doesn't like much. Except for perhaps his whip, which is made of fire.

I have another character or two on the way, but I'll introduce them later! As my brain really, really hurts and I need to go sleep so I can go shopping tomorrow.

I am bringing Ethan into the game. He is a fallen angel (formerly the angel of writers). He fell like... 1,945 years ago. He's been in Chicago since the 1950s. He's an independent bookstore owner. He also does some private book dealing on the side with collectors or museums. He will look at you funny if you spend too much time browsing the bookstore -- it's a store, people, not a library. He will help those who need help but otherwise keeps to himself, not wanting to get involved with stuff. He also has a thing for mortal women. They're endlessly fascinating.

So, the two characters I bring you right now are Liam de Los Cobos (this journal) and Hero Tamm (heroinesandwich). Uh, neither of their infos are up right now BUT SHHH THEY WILL BE SOON. I promise.

Liam is the fallen angel Dumah. He pretty much thinks most humans are disgusting, but he has a soft spot for humble people and pretty, young girls. Even then, he's still pretty holier-than-thou, if you would. Anyway, he's the angel of vindication, but he treats it as its obsolete definition; so, if you were to ask him, he deals with punishments. And, um, speaking of punishments? He kills criminals, particularly if they've committed a violent crime. He usually finds his victims through the newspapers, but he's not opposed to other methods. He's associated with silence and the stilness of death, so he only talks on the Ether and to his victims. Pretty much no one who has ACTUALLY seen his face (and lived!) has heard his voice, save for a few other fallen angels.

Hero is a teenage girl in London. She's a Watcher Human, and her power is retrocognition, meaning she can see events that have happened in the past. Her power is activated by touch most of the time. She's sick a lot, but when she isn't ill, she goes to school and works at her father's comic shop. She's on the Ether a lot, but most of the time it's to lurk. This will probably change! Uh, what else. Her dad (the one with the comic shop!) in an ex-cop. They lived in Wales until Hero was ten; that was the same year her mother left the family. She came back a year and a half later, only to die when Hero was thirteen.

Hey dudes! Zoe here, taking the late introduction ftw. I know most of you, but there are a couple of new faces so HI THERE. Nice to meet you! I'm super tired so this is probably going to be an incredibly lame intro, but I still have two more characters who are half-finished, so guess what? I'll be doing this again soon, probably with more coherence. Very soon, hopefully.

In the meantime, this here is Seth Preston. He's a twenty-four year-old homeless guy located in London Central. Completely human, no touch of the supernatural here: all he does is wander around, foraging through trash cans, trying to grow out a beard, and doing anything for spare change. That's right, he relies on YOUR CHARITY to survive, so fork over the cash -- and don't be too sanctimonious about it, assholes. He's sort of a well-known landmark in the areas he frequents and has earned the dubious nickname of "Preacher," because he has a tendency to get into long-winded, loud rants about religion and God (backstory -- he left home because his stepmum turned his dad religious, and it didn't work out so well for the two of them). What he's useful for is little errand-boy tasks, because he doesn't ask questions and he's actually quite reliable.

Howdy, all! I... don't think I actually know any of you, so I'll start this from the top.

I'm Colleen, 20, a full-time student at the University of Michigan and something of an RP addict. I have a personal IJ @ illogic, although it's f-locked, so that's not much help, is it? As for this poor fellow, Nathaniel Quinn... he's a 32-year-old Irish jack-of-all-trades, who happens to own a metaphysical curiousity shop of sorts, in London. He's just about the equivalent of Dante from Clerks- the only reason he bothers to show up to work every day, is because he lives in the apartment above the shop, and he doesn't have cable (not to mention, he's a little broke). He's a cynical skeptic, and although he has Watcher-blood in him, he has yet to 'activate', so to speak. As far as he's concerned, he's doing his mother's last wishes, selling off the rest of the shop's inventory to get enough money to GTFO the city. Expect him to give your characters the stink eye if they try to talk 'shop' to him, at least until I figure out how he's going to 'realize his potential' (if any nefarious types want a quick hostage situation, or a place to steal that last ingredient for a spell/incantation, really, put poor Nate out of his misery and snatch him up? You'll be doing us both a favor XD)

To the mods: I'm sorry I didn't get a hold of you, my job search has turned somewhat frantic this past couple weeks before I go back to school, and I've been out of it, for a while. But! I landed my interview for Monday, so this weekend and next week will be celebratory RP, and that character development you wanted me to do for Nate's personality. Promise.
