Jessica turned on the shower and stared at herself in the mirror as she waited for the water to heat up. There were a few smears of blood on her face, and some dried into her hair.
She frowned as she looked down at her clothes. There was definitely not going to be any salvaging them. It was too bad, really. It was one of the outfits Bill had gotten her, and she was actually rather fond of it.
The bathroom began to fill with steam and she peeled off her clothes, shoving them into a corner to deal with later, before stepping into the shower. She let out a sign of relief as the water ran over her. She thought about the night's turn of events. It was comforting to know that she could help people as a vampire, rather than just hurt them. And Jason Stackhouse seemed like a pretty good guy, even if he had been involved with that stupid Fellowship of the Sun. She was glad that she'd been able to help me.
She could have stayed in the shower forever, but she didn't want to take up all the hot water. So, as soon she she watched the last of the blood swirl down the drain, she reluctantly turned off the water.
Jessica wrapped herself in a robe, cinching the belt tightly around her waist. Even if was a shorter shower than she would have liked, it still felt good. She quickly towel dried her hair and got out a clean one for Jason to use.
She padded barefoot back into the kitchen. "All yours," she said to Jason with a smile. "There are clean towels on the rack." She went to the fridge and opened another bottle of Tru Blood, popping it in the microwave.
