Jessica was glad that Jason didn't seem too grossed out by her eating. The only other human she had felt comfortable around like that was Hoyt. The way Arlene always looked at her it was like she was draining a newborn baby or something.
She smiled gratefully when he said he'd stay. She was more relieved than she'd thought she'd be. She just couldn't deal with an empty house again. Not again. As much as she complained about his rules, she really wanted Bill to come home. Though Bill probably wouldn't approve too much of a shirtless Jason Stackhouse keeping her company, Jessica could think of worse ways to spend the night.
"I think we've got some beer in the fridge still, from the last time Hoyt was here." She paused a little at his name, but moved on. "You're welcome to it. It ain't exactly like Bill or I are going to touch it."
She looked at the floor shyly, before looking back up at Jason. "I'd like that. Talkin', I mean. Not too many people in this town want to get to know a vampire."
Jessica jumped about a foot in the air when Jason swatted her ass on the way by. She turned, eyes wide, no idea what to say. "It's...it's fine," she managed to get out eventually, embarrassed, if not entirely displeased, by the turn of events. "Don't worry about it."
She stood for a moment, watching him walk up the stairs, before heading to the bathroom. Between seeing him shirtless and him swatting her butt, she knew what thoughts would be occupying her mind while she showered.
