Jessica nodded. It'd just been her in the house for a little while now, and she hadn't had to think about things like water pressure. "Guess takin' turns is best after all. Don't worry. I'll be real quick. Won't use up all the hot water." Really she just wanted to get the blood off of her as soon as possible. She could always take a bath later.
She glanced at Jason when he mentioned how long of a shower he would need, then quickly looked away from his blood-covered body, bitting her lip. She liked that Jason was so protective of Sookie. She'd been nothing but sweet to Jessica, and so she'd become protect of the telepath herself. "I promise I won't say a thing."
She looked at the house as they pulled into the driveway. She liked Bill's house well enough, but it was just so empty with Bill gone. She was grateful for the job Sam had given her, otherwise she'd spend every night rattling around in there by herself.
"I should be okay," Jessica said as she unlocked the door. "Just feeling a little weak, but nothing too bad." As it turned out, that was a little premature. As she stepped into the house, her knees buckled slightly, and she had to catch herself on the stair bannister.
"Okay, maybe on second thought I should try eating before I shower." Her eyes widened. "Just TruBlood, I mean," she hurried to clarify."
