At Your Mercy, As Ever [info]v_nocturne_rpg

Dear Writer,

I am astonished by your behavior. While I have noticed in you an adventuresome quality, which has proven entertaining in our brief history, I could not have predicted such an unlikely turn of events, or that you would display such reckless disregard for the comfort of a man such as myself.

I understand that London has a shortage vampires, and that under such circumstances, it is necessary for the undead amongst us to spend time with the living. However, your choice of Mr. Simon Alexander for a companion is of concern to me. Do you realize that, at this very moment, we are involved in a game of chance, and if I lose, he is to drive a stake through my heart?

Yes, of course I understand our vampire lore, but I urge you to spare me both the indignity and the excruciating pain that will result if he is to win this hand.

It is not too late to press the 'delete' button on your writing contraption. I await the outcome of your decision.

Yours,

John

I shouldn't worry if I were you... I've heard she can be quite tenacious to those found within her heart.

Unless finding themselves ripped from it.

As the newest of her muses, I fear I have yet to earn a place within her heart. What other explanation could there be for such callous behavior?

Come, now... A man of the world, such as yourself? I find it hard to imagine you remaining unfamiliar with a young lady's need to toy with her menfolk...

A gentleman does not speak of such things in public.

However, if you would like to arrange a private meeting, perhaps she would indulge us in a demonstration.

It has been a while... I think she rather enjoys to tease me with promised flirtations.

As does mine.

Mr Abbot, Sir, I'm not too sure this one's got me best interests at heart, neither.

Still, needs must, wouldn't you say?

I dare say you are more fortunate than I! Most recently, my dress became caught in the door of a horse-pulled cab and I was dragged along Stanhope Street. A young boy came to my rescue.

How utterly mortifying!

Well, I should think so, too! A lady's prerogative to be rescued if in distress, ain't it?

Even if it ain't quite so in practice...

Better than being held by the scruff of your neck like a rabbit, though. An experience I've no care to repeat, though it's one I find myself in, at present.

I'll have you know I make a wonderful companion, one full of wit and social graces.

You'll be fine.
