I love holidays like anyone, but it's more than a little frustrating to not be able take both of my significant others to family gatherings, you know?

And then there's the issue of who's who sometimes, even if I've been guilty of thinking that ignorance can be bliss -- but only on occasion.

We'll have to come up with some kind of wacky punishment if you do.

You know, I really kinda understand the guilt? I mean, I had a different you at first. But she and I couldn't seem to be anywhere near each other without the whole world dissolving into a fight. The Lt. Anders she's with now is definitely better for her than I could ever be but... sometimes I miss her and I feel like I ran out on her.

And just so you know, I never said any of that. (I have a reputation to uphold and it doesn't involve guilt!)

Yeah, that'd be pretty funny, but they'd come right off if you scratched.

You didn't really take me from her. I tried to take you from him. I never figured this sharing thing would work out so well, you know. Especially because she hated you so much. I figured I probably felt the same way about him, but (and don't tell anybody I said this either!) I was wrong.

She needs someone who can belong to her, and just her, and I don't think I ever did.

It is indeed!

I doubt it. His universe is kind of hard to get to, which was part of the point. We didn't want her trying to get back here to get revenge on us, or you. And he's pretty strict. But he needs an Ellie in his life and there wasn't one in his world. I think they'll be happy. And hey, West is cool. He shoulda lived in place of Pouty Boy.

Good. I want you to feel safe. Most of the time. ;)
