"Why don't you ever drive these things?" Kitty prodded. Her feet slid under the front of the vehicle so her toes had disappeared and she leaned across the hood with her elbows supporting her, chin cradled in hands. "You just work on 'em and then Scott gets to have all the fun." Maybe not so much, anymore. But no one was having fun, and that was her problem. Everyone was still so down about Dr. Grey. It had been nearly a year - things needed to start looking back up. "You should take me for a ride."

She'd mentioned to a few other people that she was going down to the garage and planned to make an escape from chores and training sessions. Food court, cinema, shopping. Oh, sweet frivolity...

Her leg swung out gently and she tapped Piotr's outer thigh with the side of her ankle. She hadn't seen his face yet, as he was buried under the car's bulk. "So?"

Piotr recognized Kitty's voice immediately, if that hadn't been enough the gentle prodding would have been a dead give-away. He sighed from under the vehicle when she mentioned Cyclops having all the fun. Yeah right...he thought. He was having plenty of fun, okay not right at the moment but that wasn't the point.

He tensed when she suggested taking her somewhere. Not because he didn't want to, on the contrary Piotr was quite infatuated with Kitty Pride. Unfortunately he wasn't blessed with the same suave persona of his friend Brian. Colossus couldn't help acting nervous and shy around Shadowcat, even if they had dabbled in the dating field.

Piotr grabbed the underside of the Hummer and slid himself out into the open. He was greeted with the sight of Kitty's legs as she leaned over the hood of the SUV. His face instantly turned a brilliant shade of blush. Yeah. Of course he would. "Sure, da, where are you going?"

"The White House, someday, but I was just hoping for a lift to the mall. And maybe some company," she grinned back, looking down at him.

"Did someone say company?" Bobby said, once he let the door to the garage slam open. He was one for big entrances. "Yo, KitKat, Iron Giant, we're going to the mall, right? Sun's getting too bright for my eyes. Time for some expensive sunglasses." Besides the fact that the ice reflected like a bitch in heat, and no way could Bobby get red eye. Red and ice blue? Not so much a good mix.

A tiny ice slide formed and Bobby slid down the stairs, landing slightly abrupt but not falling over. That would have sucked. "Don't tell me that you've been tinkering with this beast of a machine, Pete. I don't think Kitty can phase us to the mall..." Wait a second. "Can you?" Knowing that Piotr was out from under the vehicle, Bobby grabbed onto the luggage rack on top and rocked his body back and forth, feet on the back bumper. "Let's get this show on the rizzoad."
