Editorial: Might or right, pushing the odds again? By Henry Gates COLUMNIST
Over thirty years ago during the second war the Ministry proudly proclaimed that: “Magic is might.” Of course this reflects darker times in our history, but how is the revival of the Ultima Project different than this ideology?
Even the basic beliefs behind the Project are that magic in conjunction with muggle methods can save the world. What gives any group of people that much power? Has the wizarding realm taken on too much responsibility? Once upon a time there used to be strict rules against interfering and working along side muggles. The results of this union are perhaps best displayed in April 2027 and there are no guarantees that the same thing will not happen again. » Continued on page A3
Editorial: Pros out weight cons of Project revival By William Ortiz COLUMNIST
Two years ago a trial got out of hand and twelve people died. As a result project that could potentially fix the world was immediately boxed. While the deaths were tragic, the real tragedy was that their deaths were meaningless because the scientific community was denied a chance to explore what went wrong and learn. Now we are presented with an opportunity to honour the dead as well as do what the Ultima Project was intended to: save the human race.

With new developments it simply boils down to a matter of security. Without adequate funding a project which technically active lacks proper security and the safety of the entire project is at hand. Forget a simple dozen, should barriers not be in place we could be dealing with thousands. » Continued on page A3

Among them:
1. Fans or air-conditioning. Forget the cooling charms either of these devices which run on electricity don’t require the effort and concentration of your wand but rather an electrical outlet and a few quid to buy a unit at your local shop.
2. Pools and splash pads. Although not uniquely muggle, the city’s eight outdoor pools opened for the season this weekend. They may be crowded and ban magic, but it beats baking the heat. » Continued on page C3
