No one throws a party like Gotham Socialites.
Rayan really had no idea why she had been dragged along with her current ‘state issued baby sitters’ to the party, she wasn’t in the mood to go to some fundraiser for some medical center uptown after all, but Trish had insisted so here she was dressed up in a dress and heels that she wanted nothing more to do than kick off. The teen sipped at a sprite as she stepped out of the main party going to a veranda. This was their thing not hers. As soon as she was old enough she was determined to rejoin the circus, normal life just wasn’t her thing.
She could hear some of their friends asking where she was and rolled her eyes. Rayan usually didn’t mind the spotlight, but being a prop just wasn’t her style. It would take them a while to find her so she slid out of the heels feeling the cool stone under her feet.
“I swear she was here a moment ago.”
Yeah I was, but really only reason I’m still staying with you guys is because I leave they’ll just bring me back. She sighed closing her eyes, time to be in the spotlight their way right? Wouldn’t be so bad if it was something that would be a little more useful to more of the public. Slipping her feet back into the heels she stepped into the room again, moving up to Trish silently. “Sorry had to get some air.” She whispered forcing a smile, after all that was simple, she had learned to play nice for the rubes, she may have left the three rings for a while, but she was still in a circus.
“I told you not to run off.” She whispered back.
“And I told you I didn’t want to come. Uptown makes me uncomfortable.” She whispered back smiling at the gentleman that she was being introduced to. He was one of the local cops, her mind instantly forgot the name for the time being. “Pleased to meet you sir.” Hey she could play nice.
