Chapter II [11.21.
2019
]

You receive an invitation. It could be a letter, cleverly worded email, or maybe a man dressed in all black simply approaches you from a dark portal. It all seems simple, a second chance, a place to heal, a far off island to escape to. You'll be helped, and maybe find a new family and friends. Daybreak Town is a World that is safe, where many Worlds find themselves losing the balance. There's only one catch:

He might come asking for your help someday.

OOC Keypoints
✩ All characters are currently in Daybreak Town. This is a fictional town that is on an island. There is a forest area outside of town and many rivers and beaches. Magic, talking animals, etc is all very normal in this World, even if your character comes from one where it is not. It looks almost exactly like the Dreamscape, except bigger.
✩ Characters from Chapter I may still be regaining their full memories, depending on how fast they dreamed. If anyone is still struggling, there will be a mod prompt come 2020 for them to regain full memories. However, they are all awake and in the real town. They'll find that their dream finances, businesses or jobs, and homes are all in town just as they dreamed, and they may even find townsfolk happy to see them awake since they witnessed their arrivals. Family in the dream not in play will not be in the Town.
✩ Characters from Chapter I will be given the choice to return home. These characters will remain out of play for one week, then will be open again to be applied for.
✩ New arrivals into town are prompted to the Inn or will wake up there, First District. There they will receive room and board until they settle in elsewhere. New homes are constantly popping up in the second district, and there always seems to be places around for businesses. Often things seem to appear overnight, and with the help of magic, that is sometimes the exact case. New arrivals could have brought anything they could travel with, up to the size of a standard vehicle.
✩ The Mayor of the town is the Master, he may never show his face, but he will be made available to answer future questions and move the plot along on occasion.
✩ Characters cannot leave the town. Not because there's an invisible barrier, but because they would literally fall off the edge of the World. The World is basically an island. If they happen to try, they may see that the water falls off the edge and seemingly into the sky, then wake up as if they never left to begin with.

If you have any questions about this Chapter, feel free to post them here.

CANON BLENDING AND PUNCTURING

Canon Blending is when canons are combined to suit the setting. This is accomplished via past game histories as well as letting memories and events from a book version and a movie version come together with a single character. Ex: Sora (Kingdom Hearts) fought with Mulan (Disney) before, Mulan (Once Upon a Time) knows Aurora (Book), Castiel (Supernatural) may have once met Sherlock Holmes (Books). Ex: Clint (Movies) knows Kate (Comics) even if they haven't met in both of their canons. These contain elements from each of their canons and is possible because all Worlds are connected. This is to be plotted between players and may not always match up.

Canon puncturing is simply one character recognizing another character as a character. This is explained by the Worlds being connected, and someone likely traveled and retold their stories in their own World. Just because Spider-man recognizes Spock from television does not mean that Spock was ever actually on a television show.

In the case that canons don't match up due to player preferences, it just means that there are multiple versions of a similar World. Both versions of the World may be explored at a later date. Time Travel and World Travel is very real in the canon we are drawing inspiration from.

PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY

If you played a character in a previous panfandom game and loved the relationships and personality they built there, you're welcome to play them here! We just ask for a brief history of what happened to them that changed them to who they are now. They could have come from any sort of World and into the Dreamscape/Daybreak Town.

Adds: Subject to mod availability.

Before you apply, please keep in mind that canon blending is strongly encouraged. You may want to check with canon mates so no one is surprised. Any character may be subjected to canon puncturing due to canon blending as the Worlds are all connected. Only one (1) version of a character is allowed, there will only ever be one Spiderman even if there are different canon versions, the only exception will be if multiple versions are within the same canon universe.

If applying for an Original Character, make sure to include more history for that character since a wiki is not available. We may ask for more information if we feel they are not properly developed.

Post your app in your journal and link us to it so that others may find it easily.

All characters are currently in the Dreamscape. Refer to Chapter I for more information.

Welcome to Chapter I [05.15.
2017
]

You wake up, it's a cool autumn day like every other. You have your life in the town, your job, your friends, everything is peaceful and calm. It always has been as long as you can remember...or maybe that's just what you've been left to believe.

Daybreak Town, with it's charming white buildings, blue roofing, and stonework, it's an almost sleepy town full of familiar people. Though, slowly, some are starting to look more familiar than others. There's a sense of dejavu that you can't shake. Something is wrong, but even when you try to do something about it or notice a change, you just wake up in your bed like nothing happened. Was it a dream? Is this a dream? If this is the only life you've ever known, why are you remembering a World outside this one? New people seem to come and go, but those who remember are brushed off as imagining things. You have to wonder...

Is any of this for real...or not?

OOC Keypoints
✩ All characters are currently in the Dreamscape. This means that they are actually dreaming, thus leading to slowly regaining their memories and abilities, and having entirely false memories of a life they never lived in the town. This can be as close to their "real" life as possible, or something entirely different. No one will wake up until the next Chapter begins.
✩ Characters should not be remembering things too quickly. Their lives should be played out as if they only remember living in Daybreak Town in the beginning of their adventure. This is in the vein of things like Kingdom Hearts and Once Upon a Time.
✩ If your character has not begun remembering, there will be a mod post prompting it. This chapter will last long enough for people to develop lines.

✩ As of 11.11, all characters should have begun to dream and will be remembering all of their past lives over the remainder of the month. This should come with the expected consequences. They should not all come back at once, but they will remember details each night as they sleep.
✩ Feel free to plot and interact with characters that you might not normally. Maybe you're neighbors in the town or believe you've grown up together. Anything goes in this chapter of gameplay. Have fun with it!
✩ Should your character happen to die in this chapter (ex: fall from a building) or witness such a thing, they will simply wake up in their bed as usual before anything can actually happen, be it them crashing or telling someone about the event.
✩ Character's bodies are currently elsewhere (think of the curse in sleeping beauty where everyone had fallen asleep), do not worry, they will get them back later. They also will experience all sensations as if they were real for ease of gameplay.
✩ The town has a "Mayor" but no one can remember who he is other than seeing a figure wearing black.
✩ The Mayor of the town is the Master, he may never show his face, but he will be made available to answer future questions and move the plot along.
✩ Characters cannot leave the town. Not because there's an invisible barrier, but because they would literally fall off the edge of the World. The World is basically an island. If they happen to try, they may see that the water falls off the edge and seemingly into the sky, then wake up as if they never left to begin with.
✩ Magic and Talking Animals exist in this world, but be aware that your character may not realize they have the skills that they did back home due to the false memories. However, through the dreams they will learn them again.
✩ As of December 1st, Chapter II of gameplay will begin and all characters will have all memories and wake in the real Daybreak Town.
