Minerva didn't let on how deeply distressed she was that Chase Harper might have suffered a head trauma, let alone a kind of hex that could cause this kind of dementia. But equally troubling was- so far- the lack of her Prefects telling her what they knew. Minerva didn't know the depths of it, but there was a kind of look in some of their eyes that suggested they weren't being completely forthcoming with her.

Right now, Chase's safety and continuance was far more important than some misguided House and friend loyalties. Perhaps, if properly informed, something could have been done to stop this. But it happened and there was no sense in looking forlornly at what could have been.

Minerva, with her wand tucked invisibly along her palm, carried a bright orange shawl over it, It was likely large enough to cover Chase given the chance. With the idea that Goblins couldn't see orange, she hoped to entice Chase with the lure of 'cover.' The younger years who reported Chase's taken path said that he'd been ranting about Goblins.

Minerva stopped near a crossing of four corridors, one of them a stairwell up toward Ravenclaw Tower. She narrowed her eyes in discernment and looked back at a few of the Prefects that had accompanied her. Hopefully the other Gryffindor Prefects were herding Chase in their direction, as they had been instructed. Minerva wanted none of them engaging Chase in this state. There was no telling how dangerous Chase was, or if he'd fight like a wounded animal.
