Regulus knew he probably shouldn't let the cat he'd adopted last trip to Hogsmeade outside very long. Apollo was a very curious cat and ...not exactly the brightest animal in the world. He'd probably chase an interesting leaf into the forbidden forest or the lake without even knowing that he was in any sort of danger. But Regulus also didn't really want to let him out of his sight for too long at a time, either, not after what happened to House or the owls, and so he'd planned on leaving Apollo in the stands later when he went to Quidditch Practice. He probably could have asked Andromeda to watch him, and he probably would when it got colder, but he'd only had him for a week, so he was fairly overprotective still.
Regulus sat on a bench, reading over his Charms notes, while Apollo played at his feet, pouncing on the leaves and jumping up suddenly when one was blown back towards him. He couldn't help but laugh at the poor cat when he started meowing at him, as though complaining that the leaves weren't playing back fairly. "They're not attacking you, they're only leaves."
